Changing website builders: problems

I am using SohoLaunch website builder.

I am having problems with it.

I once used RV and it seem very user friendly, specially for non tech guys like me.

HostGator is my hosting provider, but they don't have RV available.

I am planning on changing the site builder, even for another not RV.

But one of the problems is that SohoLaunch (SL) uses php for pages extensions and if the other uses other extensions I will loose clicks from my php pages.

Clearing what I mean:

SohoLaunch page:

http://www.cash4yes.com/buildyourlistwithease.php

RV page:

cash4yes.com/buildyourlistwithease.html

I have some questions on how to avoid doing a mess of my site:

 How can I change website builders without messing up my site?

Since HostGator doesn't have RV, can I upload a free version?

Or do I have to change hosting provider for one that offers RV?

I was thinking on GVO, but I don't know if they have RV or similar?

How can I change my web pages with php to html and still get clicks from the links that I have placed throughout the web with php?

I really need to get out of SohoLaunch!

Sincerely,

Antonios

Honestly, you're better off switching to something like Wordpress or Joomla. I remember RVSitebuilder years ago when literally every web host had it - it's honestly junk. The problem with these is that you're limited with them.

Why are the majority of these sites made by the two builders you mentioned left aligned...?

I would recommend Host Gator's built in website builder, because it's not completely terrible like the two builders I just saw.

HTML/CSS is relatively easy to learn so I would highly recommend learning that or just moving to Wordpress and purchasing a premium theme. Find a theme utilizing HTML5/CSS3 and one that's completely responsive if you want a nice looking site.

Is changing website builders a complex process?

I once changed site builders I did a copy and paste process from the original website content to a words document then repeated the copy and paste process to the new site builder.

      Is there an easier process?

I don't know if their built in site builder will work a pre-existing site, but there are plenty of WYSIWYG editors out there that don't require any knowledge of HTML. Sure, they'll leave behind some messy code if you ever choose to learn HTML/CSS but it's an option

WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)

Let me see here.. I've been out of the loop for so long and I haven't really looked into what editors there are today. I'll teach you HTML/CSS for a fee

Seriously though, I would recommend learning it ASAP if you want to edit your website. OR... use Host Gator and install a theme you like.

I think CoffeeCup is still around:
CoffeeCup HTML Editor - CNET Download.com

I'm biased towards DreamWeaver, but the professionals use Pre-Processor software which I'm not getting into at the moment because not a lot of people know or need to know about it unless they're working with a large scale project.
