Default Mastermind groups and NDA's

Hi Warriors,

To those who've created mastermind groups, both local and on the internet, have you had the members sign an NDA?

I'm interested in creating a local group, and would like to have the members sign one prior to joining.

Anyone have a sample form they'd be willing to share?

Thanks

I have never required a NDA from any groups I have started either offline or on. NDA's are serious overkill and from my experience, yours may very, it limits cooperation in the group. You get smaller groups and if you share things that are publically available which most things are, you get complaints.

I know one person that uses NDA's to force peoples mouth's shut when they find out he doesn't really know that much and limits their refund methods. This person charges a rather steep fee to participate in his programs. I am not saying you are doing the same I am just telling you my experience with people that have used NDA's as a precurser to joining a mastermind group.

There are others in the million dollar range that are by invitation only and you have to prove you make at least a million dollars annually. Then there are the 100Million+ clubs and the billionaire clubs etc etc... I know one IM group that charges 50K to get into... Those are barriers that filter out undesirables... I am not sure if they require NDA or not.

John Delevera uses NDA's in his programs and he gets people to sign. If the benefit of your group is of high enough value you can get people to do almost anything to get in. The problem is keeping people involved and participating once they have jumped your hurtles.

I have been considering setting up rules for future groups I start, whether they are mastermind, group marketing or whatever... Require X amount of participation or they lose their group access and if there is a fee no refunds... I haven't thought too much into it though.

I have participated in groups with NDA's but those without them flourished much more and when people reach a certain level they tend to wander away from the group NDA or no.

Thanks for the insights Terry.

Having participation rules sounds like a good way to go.

I hate to say this but NDA's are just NDA's. How do you really monitor people abiding by your NDA? They or we will still find ways to talk about behind your back and just be wise to clam up in front of you. "Terry" is right it limits the option for brainstorming.
