I haven't created an wso product and I have a team of designers and developers that'll help me with creating a product. What type of products are in demand and people are seeking to buy on WSO?

    As will says, you need a good product

    Sure you could put something together about the hottest topic on the WSO forum but if your product is garbage no one will want to recommend it

    There are certain topics that are always hot like SEO, plugins, video marketing and software etc

    A lot of it depends on how you market it and if you have a reputation for delivering quality
    products

    One of the most effective types of WSO's you can create is a case study

    people love case studies because they get real and tested results and people are always willing to pay for this information

    I released a case study earlier this year and it went really well and they are really good fun to create too :-)

    Find the DEMAND....SALES WILL FOLLOW. WSO is all about online and/or offline marketing in general. Find any type of products that has demand among online/offline marketers, then combine it with a good sales letter and recruit affiliates. The product(your WSO) will shoot.

    The sales letter will sell. But the quality of the product will build your reputation. Reputation will build the foundation of your business. Now you decide what kind of foundation you want to build.

    It's always best to do alot of research before spending alot of time and effort creating the product/graphics/sales page/sales funnel/etc. etc.

    Maybe try looking in the WSO section to get a good idea of what is selling really well. Market research if you will.

      Take my idea. Stop researching on WSO section and spam the WSO section to death. It's already gone too far. Rather take some real action and give your best to make your first $1 profit. Then repeat it 100 times and make $100 profit. Then simply write down your actions to $100 profit step by step in simple English and release it as WSO.

      This WSO will be a THE ONE that really works. You will be surprised to see how much people love the truth.

        I have never launched a WSO, but do have some planned for the future.

        Like you said in your above post it's really all about building up a reputation. Which is the foundation of your business.

        That's why I haven't launched a WSO yet because my product has to deliver EXTREME value to the user.

        That way my reputation and foundation will be set in stone, instead of built upon a bed of sand. I agree that there are way to many sketchy WSO's, but also some really good ones.

    Definitely need to post in this thread and subscribe. I have ideas brewing in my head. Some of them sound great for a lot of people. Some of them sound great for a few select people. Some of them will require work. Some of them are so boneheaded simple that it's sad to think I didn't think of them before. I want to make every single one of them a WSO (after I have exhausted all my resources and made them as comprehensive and high quality as I am capable of) before I send them off to the web, eBay, Amazon, or whatever to see how they do in the real world.

    I'll tell you what, here is a different perspective...

    ...as a newbie who has never purchased a WSO before I do the following:
    • I look for niches that interest me personally (eBay, for example)
    • I look for post authors I recognize from all the time I've spent lurking here
    • I pay special attention to the number of posts and views
    • I ignore anything with lots of commas and zeroes in the title regardless of subject because it's fluff
    • I don't even open threads that talk about subjects I have no interest in (Forex trading, for example)
    • I am very focused and I will read the entire thread AFTER the initial post first...then I will read the offer...I want to see what people say about it before I read what was offered, and maybe I'm a little odd that way
    • I will pay special attention to a low priced offer, like a $1 trial, or $7 for the whole package, or $17 for a lifetime membership to a site, I am human, I do impulsive things from time to time, and figure a small dollar amount will either give me a spark of thought I can turn into a great idea or business, or be something I can use in my personal life, in my work, or it will be a cheap lesson to soften the bruise to my ego should I find it to be worthless (and then I start seeing what kind of rights it comes with so I can market it to some other sucker, hahaha, yeah right, I'm not that mean)

      not really.. it simply needs to deliver on the promises made.

      If someone buys from you, and doesn't feel cheated afterwards, then they will be happy. Deliver solid products, and you will OK.

    The kind of product I personally prefer is products that make my life easier or benefit me in some way

    - plugins
    - software
    - theme

    But the ones that I see having best results in quickest period of time and loopholes and quick cash methods

    Products created and marketed by well-known, widely respected and trusted Warriors who've contributed a lot to the forum, which are good enough to attract some honest testimonials from a couple of other well-known, respected Warriors who have themselves bought and used the product. I think these are the ones that sell really big numbers. (At least, I'd like to think that ...)

    I agreed with most of the comments regarding, quick cash little effort etc, however if it turns out your WSO does not deliver these promises and you have simply done this for your own financial gain, your reputation would really suffer and you may struggle if you launch another WSO.

    Approach with caution!

      To some extent the WSOs that do well are those that,

      • Have very enticing sales offers,
      • Have many of the big-hitter marketers sending notices to their lists,
      • Have "cool" graphics and eye candy type appeal,
      • Come from well recognized Warriors,
      • Are priced at the lower end of the scale,
      • Appeal to a wide variety of viewers because they promise "easy," "simple," "push button," or "quick" profits or utility.

      Unfortunately, quality doesn't seem to be on the list because you usually only determine that after you've spent your money (often reviews in the WSO thread aren't very helpful). It would be nice to say that high quality WSOs outsell all the others, but I'm guessing that isn't accurate.

    Uhm, most of the warriors buy product that can help them make their work easy and can help them generate money.

    So basically you can create a product that can help our fellow warriors make their work easy and accurate to make money.

    Creating a product for this generation is not that easy because the market is big and lots of competitor. You should go through a lot of courses that will help you think what product should be created.

    After almost 2 years of doing WSO's I can say, even the best product idea will only sell modestly without affiliates. Just identifying a 'product type' that seems to do well, is not enough.
    ..and just to add, almost any wso product with lots of affs behind it will do real well.

      This exactly is the DEAL! I was gonna just say this, and its good to see that Bruce has already pointed it out. The success of your success totally depends on how many affiliates (and super affiliates more importantly) you will get for your product. Unless you reveal "how to be invincible" or " how to live forever", your launch wont be success unless you either get lots of affiliates, or you are a hardcore marketer with hardcore aspects. Just any product related to Internet Marketing or Make Money Online would be a huge launch (if you have either of the fore mentioned factors).
