What kind of work NOW helps you the most later?

I asked you all how to reach my goal of earning $15/day within 10 days, with less than 3 hours a day. (http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...-can-done.html)

Just about everyone said WORK! Things like Fiverr, iWriter, and Freelancer.

I'm not someone who wants to just spend my time in exchange for money. I'd much rather INVEST it. If I'm going to spend my time and effort, it should pay me back... and keep paying me back. It doesn't have to be money. Skills and experience are just as valuable.

So, how can I get to $15/day... and do it in a way that I keep getting value from it long after I stop?

    There are no shortcuts!

You have to spend way more time than money when your first getting started.

I say this with the utmost respect for your career and future. Stop looking for the easy way! You will never find it, and more than likely be extremely disappointed after spending years looking for the quick buck.

Work hard now, and that will be the long-term payoff. It is hard to see when you first get started, but I can tell you three years into my business I am seeing the results of all the thousands of hours I put into my business. Let me emphasize here the "Thousands".

Also, do not shoot for $15 per day. Shoot for at least $50 or $100 in 60 days. $15 per day will probably not be a goal that inspires you.

Like the others said, there's no easy way; and trying to find it is wasting valuable time that you could be spending on developing a sustainable and consistent business.

    You are looking for leverage.

The problem with providing services is that you are always limited by the amount of hours in a day. If you are directly involved with providing that service then you can only serve one person at a time and that puts a cap on your income.

If you want to create things that will payoff for you in the longrun and will not be restricted to the amount of time in a day, then you want to create things that do not need you everytime they are sold. Think things like digital products. I sell x amount of my products everyday and they will keep on selling whether I am sitting on a beach somewhere or here at my desk.

If services are something you still want to offer then you can still do so -- but you need to be smart about it. You should not be the person carrying out the service. It is much better if you are the middleman. So someone pays you to provide a service and you pay someone else to fulfill that service. You take whatever profit is left over. That way you can scale things much faster and your income is not limited to how much work YOU can do in one day.

Very important advice that from Will.

To your question, learning is what you invest on by doing any of those well suggested to you; expertise and experience is what you reap - those and some money. More of the earlier, will fetch you more of the latter.

Again there is no magic button, for sure don't believe what you see in headlines like this one --- I made 2345.98 in 2 hours---

Find something you love to do - write, design, create, search something... find a topic you like and could talk about it all day, Fishing, Magic, Baseball so on...

Start a blog on that, build it up then sell ad space on your blog.

What works for one person might not work for you. Unless you have lady luck on your side you have to WORK.

    Hope that helps

First of all, a goal of $15 per day is way too low. You should have a bigger goal of let's say: $100 per day.

You say that you don't want to spend time but money. You do need to do both to get your business going.

You need to register a domain name.

You need to learn how to build your website.

You need to get your own autoresponder with follow up emails in it.

You need to learn how to advertise effectively online.

All of these takes time. If you are not willing to learn and take daily actions then you are not going to see any success.

But if you have everything set up where it works on auto-pilot, then you can invest your money into ads and have everything run for you even if you take a week or two off.

Everyone: I'm NOT looking for a "short cut" or the "easy way." I know there's thousands of hours of work ahead of me if I want to make money in internet marketing. What I want to do is use those hours as efficiently as possible. If I'm going to start out doing drudge work for seed capital, that drudge work should help me later too.

A big thanks to WillR for getting it on a whole different level.

talfighel: I know $15 a day is low. I will set a bigger goal once I know what the costs would be of achieving it.

Here's the big question, though... every suggestion I've gotten for making money in the short term has been stuff like "write articles." Writing articles as work now will teach me how to write for my own site later, sure.

BUT, I know I need to "Learn how to advertise effectively online."

Is there any work I can do that will teach me to do that?

Build a list! This should be capable of doing what you want within the time frame and if you treat the list good you should be able to make money off of it long term.
