Clickbank Setup Question - Is This Possible?

Hi,

I am shortly going to launch a piece of software that will be 110% free for anyone to download.

However there will be a series of tightly related upsells/downsells behind the opt in for the free software (the free software btw I could easily sell for $97 a pop)

What I want to know is if I can use Clickbank as the affiliate backend so JV partners can make commisions on the upsells?

The software itself will give JV partners the opportunity to earn money for life regardless of the uptake of the upsells and I have that bit covered but can I set Clickbank up in such a manner?

clickbank url > Landing page > email optin > clickbank landing page/checkout > upsells/downsellers

Thanks

    You can do this.

Clickbank allows you to add upsell and downsell products to your account if you are a vendor. You will then let your affiliates know that when they sign up to your program, they can earn more money from those upsells and downsells.

If you can, offer them 75% commissions on everything and this will help you get more and more people who will want to join your affiliate program.

      There are three ways.

      1. You can start the upsell sequence in the download file of the initial sale. As long as the affiliate cookie is present the affiliate will get commission - which will be at the same rate as the initial sale. The advantage is that you have complete control over the upsells - you are not bound by any ClickBank rules.

      2. You can have the upsell offer on the Thank You page of the prior sale. Here you are bound by the ClickBank rules which essentially say that you must not give the buyer a run-around with different offers before giving him access to his purchase. You need to start off by providing access details before presenting your additional pitch. The affiliate will get commission at the same rate as the initial sale.

      3. Similar to (2) you can use ClickBank's PitchPlus system. The advantages

      - the buyer does not need to re-enter credit card details. He just needs to make one click to purchase the upsell (hence the original beta version name of 1-click upsell)

      - you can offer a different commission rate

But note: to provide more than one upsell offer (the maximum is three) you need to apply for PitchPlus Advanced. ClickBank will then 'review your application, account history and intentions for using the feature'. So if you are a first time vendor this may prove a problem.

Excellent so Clickbank wont have a problem if I put them behind an opt in wall for a free download?

Seems like the place to go!

When you already have feedback from Harvey Segal on an issue relating to ClickBank, inviting additional feedback from other members can only weaken/dilute the "average reliability" of the information you have - it's unlikely indeed to "improve" it in any meaningful sense.
