Non Disclosure Agreement Before A Webinar

What are your thoughts on stuff like this? To me, it seems like a cheesy gimmick, but maybe I'm wrong and maybe there is a good reason to do it.

I guess to me it feels very amateurish. I have a website that sells a lot in a particular niche so I used to get sales calls from people trying to sell me their invention. And they would call, give me no details, and then ask me to sign a NDA before continuing to talk.

I don't know...I can see it if I'm buying your business and you're opening up your financials. But otherwise, seems like overkill.

I agree, my thoughts are if you don't need to state a NDA (legally) then don't do it.

I have seen several webinars in the last year or so that are NDA but they have all been in the Mobile App Niche. I can definitely understand it there, but not sure about other IM areas.

I think in these situations the NDA itself is not as important as the fact that what they are actually trying to do is use the NDA as a way to create intrigue and curiosity in you, especially if they are the ones calling you up and trying to sell you something.
