Elance fixed price abitration

I did a job for a guy then now he decides not to pay. Assuming I am willing to pay $100 for abitration, is it worth it? If I win the case, can elance make him elance the money in his escrow fund?

    eLance charges for arbitration now?

    I'd avoid eLance.

As to your question... Do you have proof it was completed to the buyers specs? Have you tried to work it out with the buyer?

For me... it would depend on the amount for the job, how long it took and if I could resell the work to someone else.

I won't use elance either either as a buyer or a seller. In my experience it is a place for cheap buy meeting cheap seller. If you are neither then stay out.

I did my stuff and it is all on elance. The buyer never sticks to his words so I gave up trying to work it out. At the end of the say I get something minus abitration fee while he pays something plus abitration. Buyer in a lose lose situation either way.

I never knew they charged for arbitration. IMO the best site "was" vworker but it has now been bought out by freelancer and their system absolutely sucks! Even their help desk is useless. Their standard reply is basically... the problem will be sorted out. be patient, there is no need for stress. Have a nice day. Please tell us if we can help you.
(I am paraphrasing as I can't remember the exact wording.)
