Promoting existing business to independent stores
I recently got involved with a business that has been in the making for about 3 years. Unfortunately I cannot disclose what the products are at this point, but here are a few facts to consider:
- It is a completely unique product, and has over 30,000 YouTube views across about videos.
- Other people we don't even know are reviewing the product on YouTube, so it is increasing.
Now I need to make this product known to independent stores, so that they can retail it. We are using SalesForce.com, and I am considering using their data.com service. It includes emails, but would it not be spamming to use that?
What is the best way to market to independent stores? Is cold calling the only way?
