How does amazon affiliates work?

I am confused to why I didn't get paid, I got 71 clicks yesterday and it says 1 order but I didn't get any money. I didn't directly link the traffic to the item that was ordered but I figure 1 of the 71 people probably went and bought sommething else. Shouldnt I still get paid? and if not why is it on my order summary?

I make money through Amazon Associates/Affiliates Program. Amazon works well. My site Digitsy Global Store. Good luck!

I'm not an Amazon affiliate, but my best advice would be to read their affiliate FAQs, and then read their terms of use agreement closely.

Your answer should be in there.

    All the best,

Amazon will hold back credit on the affiliate report for about three days sometimes. The main reason is to verify the order and the credit card used.

A very common scam is to purchase expensive merchandise using stolen credit cards and ship it to another address. The thief has the goods, the owner of the stolen card gets their money back and Amazon is left holding the bag.

If the pay never shows up, that's likely what happened. You can always drop a note to the associate support people.

This happened to me once. I was promoting a boxed set of DVDs and had an order come through for the set plus two big screen TVs. Guess what? The order was a fraud...

I don't think you get credit until the item(s) actually ships. Then, you only get paid once a quarter. At least that is the way my account works.

It says in their terms that you get paid every 60 days... Once per quarter is 90 days so it's not quite that bad unless you have to wait 30 days for the check to arrive.

OK You need to direct the link to the product so that you can earn your commission to that product that you have sell. And always read the FAQs in every affiliate networks you have joined.
