Health Niche - Starting List

Okay, so I decided it's time to start a list (I know right, about time!) so right now I am creating my freebie. Basically I wanted opinions on my freebie.

I am target a certain type of eating lifestyle (I don't wanna give out my niche) but I am going to be making my freebie 10 or so recipies, is that enough if my main product is going to be other cookbooks, diet products, and maybe more ebook recipies?

Thanks!

Yes 10 is plenty. You can actually do just 5 and call it "5 Super Delicious Recipes For You To Try Right Now" or something like that. At the end of your free report just say hey if you want more delicious recipes like this check out "whatever the product you are promoting is".

I agree with Miller, 5 recipes should be more than enough, better if you write that those recipes are easy to do and delicious to eat

The number of recipes is the wrong question to ask.

All you need is the right recipe. What recipe would they pay for if they clocked it? Make that your freebie.

As long as it's something which YOU created and not some plr garbage then give it a try and see how your squeeze page performs

The closer you make your free offer to your paid offer the higher your conversions will be

A good way to do it and I often do this is:

Create your full product and include in it what you were going to use for your freebie

Then give away a chunk of the product for free to build your list, then you can market the rest of your paid offer as an "upgrade"

Or "If you liked these you will love the rest of the recipes etc"

This really helps with conversions and keeps everything flowing nicely

Certainly should be good enough to test...I have found recipes to be a good giveaway for squeeze pages...though you do have to make it compelling enough that they will signup versus hit Google to find free recipes...

Test your idea, if the conversion is low, then try another approach where you combine 5 great recipes with 5 "secret" ingredients or another "insider" perspective that would appeal to your audience with more of a "mystery" approach where they can't easily find the info for free.

Good decision to build a list by the way.

You may want to also consider an "intro-level" product (perhaps the 10 recipes) as a low-end, entry product (think Kindle) with links back to your list and full product websites to expand into a product funnel augmenting your sales funnel.

The most vital factor here, I believe, is providing enough incentive for people to sign up to your list for recipes that they could get for free elsewhere through the Internet (that is, a quick Google search).

I believe you need to develop a "hook" of sorts for your free product that will entice people to believe that they are getting something from you that they cannot get elsewhere.

Just say you will send them weekly seasonal recipes or something, so they will stay engaged, it will be relevant to them and they amount will be higher than a mere 5/10. That might be an idea...

        Not a bad idea.

It could be built around the idea that the OP is 'compiling the best of ...' from all over the Internet so the subscribers do not have to spend their own time looking for them themselves.

        Or something like that.

I would try to make the offer a little more tempting giving then a 7 day recipe guide how many calories are in them then include a basic workout routine to help them tone or lose a few pounds or something like that.

I'm sure people will opt in for just recipes but they are more likely to opt in for a result.
