I will go straight to the point.

Step 1:
Find a niche mostly searched for and get relevant keywords down, list of 4 max of 7. You will need those keywords to source for contents and for SEO purposes.

Step 2
Now get fresh contents like articles, ebooks and videos. You can do this by out sourcing the task to professional freelancers.

Step 3
Get a membership scrip personally I will recommend you use amember pro 4 and use the option of wordpress add-on plugin in the amember pro admin section

http://yourdomainname/amember/admin

Then add your wordpress database details in the add-on/plugin area in the configuration area after activating wordpress add-on.

Then click on wordpress tab follow the instructions.

To add content you need to login into your wp-admin.

Here are other scripts:
1. Easy Member Pro
2. Magic Member
3. Member Speed
4. Wishlist Member

They are alot just to mention a few other top scripts.

Step 4
Get a payment processor like:
1. 2checkout
2. Clickbank
3. Plimus
4. SWREG
5. Regnow
6. Payza
7. Google Checkout.
8. Paypal
9. Authorize.net
This are top payment processor in the world. But personally I love 2checkout and SWREG.

Step 5
Promote your membership on google adword, facebook, twitter, linkedin, pinintrest, ad network like adright

That is it.

I hope this is simple enough, my team some times says I am too technical so I decided to make things SIMPLE, STUPID, EASY and ACCESSABLE.

I personally really like s2member for anyone who just wants to use a wordpress site for their membership sites. I've used s2 on a few and it's been pretty awesome.

Wp s2member plugin is ok, if it gives you the functions you need.

I have used a lot of membership scrips and plugin for clients, I use the one that has the core functions I need to make the management easy for the client.

    Step 6
Recruit people to promote your product for you through a JV.

Exactly - don't try to just bring in all the members yourself

What is the membership for? For the one like in your signature? I can't really see the exact purpose of the membership here!

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

I am sorry but no decent membership site can be written in 5 steps... There is a wealth of information that needs to be added to this post, heck it is an ebook in its own right. Your team may like simple stupid but we like in-depth here!

Membership sites are the most effective because you know that you'll have that income coming in each month and it's just a matter of scaling.

    Thanks for the steps!

Your steps are interesting, especially since I'm planning to launch a membership site. I agree with "step 6" though, setting everything up through JV deals does take alot of burden off your shoulders to constantly promote.
