Warrior Banner Ad Success?

Hi Warriors,
I am researching banner advertising for my upcoming product, and I wanted to get this question out there.
Have any warriors seen success with using the big banner ad slot above .

I believe it to be $100 for one day (is that 12 hrs or 24 hrs?) And that your ad is rotated with 7 others. That seems like a lot of impressions! Could be great value, and highly targeted for IM'ers.

Have any of you guys used the service? How many clicks did you receive? What kind of opt in rate did you get? And any OTO sales?

I've had great success with the 24hour banner ads, mind you I've only ever linked to WSO's and not squeeze pages. Approx clicks were around 200 on average

....It's just getting approved for your ad that seems to be the biggest hurdle. You'll know what I mean when you are twiddling your thumbs for more than a week with no response.

  But that's the thing, currently there are 3 slots 'open' and I have an ad which is still 'pending' and has been for days/weeks.
  
  What's even more intriguing is that I had an ad a couple of months ago in 'pending' status for weeks, so I decided to do an experiment and get a fellow warrior to upload it and BAM, took less than 24hours. WTF :confused:

  Wow guys,
  It must be really popular with waiting times like these.
  And I agree, probably linking to WSO's is better than taking prospects out of the forum completely.
  On average then $1 per click. Quite pricy though if linking to cheap WSO, but I suppose it is super targeted traffic.

I am thinking of trying this banner ads as well but I heard approval time takes ages which Des Lau just confirmed it as well.

I have used WF banners from time to time and I usually average about $0.75 on the low end and $1.25 per click on the upper end.

lol, you'll need to get your banner approved first. Even if it meets all the guidelines it will still take some time to be seen by a mod.

I really don't know that, but Allen says that WSOs get the main pice of the pie with these banners check this post by the Admin...

Here's the best tip I can give you about advertising with the top banner on the Warrior Forum...

In every single case I know of, when the banner points to a Warrior Special Offer it makes far more money than if it leads to a web site.

The social proof in a WSO thread is extremely powerful and should not be ignored.

I can only tell you my experience and test results. Yours may be different, but I highly doubt it.

In my opinion the best use of the banner spot would be to use it after a WSO has been open for a day at least. You want some initial responses to your WSO, then send the traffic with the banner.

  Yap, it's true your banner may take up to 4-5 weeks to approve, od course it's a better option that just bumping, 'cause every users that logged in that day will at least watch your post 3 times! now multiply this by 1m? maybe haha there you go lots of sales, I think the banner worth the $100

Good luck man!

Your best bet is to use a WSO. If you are looking to send traffic to a squeeze page I know that buying forum banner ads are a really good option so you may want to look into pricing for other forums like digital point, IM4Newbies, Internet Marketing Forum, etc.
