Cold Calling

Just need some feedback really, is cold calling for SEO really an option? Any answers are greatly appreciated. I'm aware there are other ways of marketing this industry, just looking at possible options. Thanks.

    If you mean local marketing...

    The best way to get a client is by word of mouth or by meeting them in person at a business event - you need to develop trust. They get to know you, give you a shot, then recommend you.

    Cold calling in just one way, if you are good at or can hire someone good at it then do it. It has always worked and always will.

      There is a lot of info in the offline subsection of this forum on cold calling.

      95% of IM'ers have great relationships with clients who also advertise offline and with other people. Stop missing out on that cash and leverage into it. PM me if you are an established marketer and want to find out how.

        As a former "brick and mortar" business owner, I have to say that I used to get tons of calls about SEO. I hated it. All sounded like scams, and I just didn't have time to deal with it.

        I agree with those who said build word of mouth, network, and do lots of community promotions.

        I used a company who I really trusted. I got along great with them. I recommended them to everyone. So use your existing customers to build new ones. Do a great job for them, and they will tell all their friends.
