Biggest mistake I see online after 18 years with people

After being online since 1995, the biggest mistake I see people make is they don't take a far enough step back and look at the big picture. They don't look at how they are spending their time. If you keep following up with customers and adding value, then you don't have to keep finding new ones with the same hype of stuff that works short term.

Stick with what has worked always for decades

Forums, value, content, articles, opt-ins, videos, training
this always works if you give the value

so many automated ways come and go or these loop holes come and go and people just want to make $9 from a bunch of people but then a bunch get in the space and the competition makes the concept not all work anymore.

If we say let's have all 100 of us go bid 5 cents for these secret ppc keywords than suddenly everyone bids them up to 20 cents per click and the concept doesn't work anymore.

stick with the concepts that are evergreen that have worked for decades and aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The hype products are a dime a dozen.

people are following people and leadership more these days based on trust and authority. I am a big believer in a follow sales funnel to thousands and let everyone prove that not only is there value in what you'll get for your money, but way before that their has to be value in where you spend your time. There are 1000's of message boards and forums to post on right now, but we post on WF for a reason, and I could tell in the first few hours what those reasons are from experts, training, archives, search, signatures, evolved relationships, it's just a better use of everyone's time.

stop wasting all the time on coding, design, graphics, etc unless you truly love doing graphics and design, then you should, I went to college for a degree in it because I did like it at the time, but it's the creativity that I really liked we live and learn. Take a step back from your testing and see if what you are doing is making you a lot per hour for your time.
