Hi warrior,
Please i want you to tell the meaning of OTO. i often see this term whenever i purchase most of WSO products and some times from those who i joined their list and its very hard for me to understand the term. I would be very gretaful if you can shed more light on it for me. Thanks in advance.

It means One Time Offer. It's a way to upsell you something extra after you purchased their product. When you buy something this OTO is usually you're only chance to buy this additional product. It's a great strategy because the seller is putting a sense of urgency on you buying telling you this is your last chance to buy this OTO and/or sometimes at a discounted price.

As said above. It's a OneTimeOffer, although I like to call these OnTopOf offers because very rarely are the pages seen only once, therefore, they're not one time offers at all.

I just want to add something to this discussion.

If you decide to do an OTO, make sure that you never offer it again. Otherwise, you'll lose credibility, not only with the people who buy from you, but also from those who don't.

And that could hurt your sales on other products later on.

is a offer that you will see it once...one time offer...

it is usually related to the main product that you buy...you can always checkout wit the owners of those WSO if you are unsure if you needed it

Welln OTO (One Time Offer) is an offer that is part of the process of selling after the first sale is made. For instance, if I launch a WSO, I would have several items to sell. the first products will have a very low price, after a sale I would offer another product or service as an OTO to my client. This way, my sales will be increased and the client will get moew value.

I've noticed a rise in OTO and upsells/crosssells and downsells in WSO's. Infact, a WSO I purchased last year an upsell, crosssell and a downsell plus the OTO. The more advanced IMers certainly know how to optimize their profits with just one WSO.

If only they knew how to tell people about all those upsells and downsells before people made the purchase

OTO is simply telling a buy to get a unique offer now or never putting urgency into the buyers buy emotion.

    One Time Offer.

This should if the marketer is ethical be just that and it should be the best offer for that product or service that there has or ever will be, this way even if people don't buy at the time they will understand you are ethical and not just trying to use scarcity to sell things.

By being ethical and sticking to it then in future your OTO's for other products should sell better as the customers knows that is exactly what it is.

They may also buy products you have offered as a OTO at the next opportunity of a discounted price because they realise the discount may never be beaten even if it not the price it was in the OTO.

If you want to sell an up sell to a product but want to offer it at that price on more than one occasion just call it an offer, outline that it is of value and maybe placed at a higher price in future.

You should then educate them in you emails etc of how valuable that product is and hopefully this will eventually get them to buy it.

Don't use fake scarcity and if you say a date when a price will go up then put it up on that date!.

Ya a lot of marketers use OTO's very unethically but there's no point to doing that because you're killing the trust...

OTO's are very effective marketing techniques and will increase profits drastically but you have to be ethical about how you use them
