Nice trick for review sites

I saw a guy doing this trick today and it made me grin.

He does the standard affiliate review site thing but puts in a little twist. At the top of the page he has some copy explaining that each month they collect user submitted reviews and publish a top 10 list of products.

Then under it he has a box "Top 10 Reviews For March".

The great thing is that the month is automatically generated to be the previous month and the top 10 products are all his affiliate links. It looks very believable and he has done a great job. I clicked on a few links honestly believing him until I spotted the affiliate code and took a look at his page source. I doubt the average visitor just looking for product information would notice. If you wanted to get advanced you could even have order of list slightly change automatically each month lol.

Many will think this unethical but I admire the creativeness.

You could completely hide this from prying eyes if you used server side code to generate month and list. Wouldn't cost more than $50 to get a freelancer to setup for you

    I thought about posting link but I'm 99% sure this guy is a warrior and its an IM related product so I I'm not going to post link incase they didn't want people knowing their little secret. But don't dispair I'm going to write the code up myself and will share it if anyone is interested.
