Is there anyway to monetize a Wordpress.com. It says that they will be allowing own ads soon but while they have not, how to monetize blogs that were built at Wordpress.com?

Thanks.

  • They will remove the blog as soon as they find out you have put ads on it. They are picky. If they even suspect your blog has commercial intent, they will remove it.

I dont know why they cant be like blogger...

Use those blogs to drive traffic to your own sales pages.

But as far as ads, and aff links- they will delete the blog when they find it.

That said, there are marketers that get away with it because they use subtlety, and not blatant marketing tactics. And they sell in a niche that is highly focused, and not in a high spam category.

Goto hostgator and get all you need to upload your own self hosted wordpress blog.

You'll be glad you did once you see the power of wordpress over any other platform

I don't know if this would work.

Doesn't wordpress.com allow the bloggers to give free reports for download? And in the report, can't the blogger include affiliate links?

I haven't used WordPress.Com in my life. I use WordPress.Org. This just came to my mind and I thought of asking.

If your paying for the hosting, such as at wordpress.org, you essentially have the same freedom with your site as you would hosted anywhere else.

In order to host a file such as a PDF, you will have to pay for hosting, or at least a file sharing service such as S3.

I had a Wordpress.com blog shut down because I linked to a page that linked to a clickbank salespage. Ridiculous! That site is great for giving some link juice to your articles and other promotional pages though.

Is there any reason why you just didn't go with a WP.org blog instead, or why you couldn't just transfer your content now? My memory is that they make it easy to shift your whole gig from one to the other if you open a .org blogsite.

I use wordpress.com blogs as place holders.

I make them to take up space on the serps page.
the more links that I get my clients in the top ten, the less available space for my clients competitors.

The majority of people using wordpress.com are not aware of this tactic.

I believe that Wordpress's main theme is quality, so they stand by it by not allowing people who use "wordpress" under their names to use ads. Just my opinion and Blogger wants adsense because of course it is made from Google and Google profits from the clicks.
