Fiverr for Traffic Generation?

Has anyone used Fiverr "traffic generation" type gigs?

I'm trying to drive some traffic to a specific product page on a website.

I'm curious as to what might be worthwhile and what is a total waste of time.

I've only used Fiverr for graphics and have no idea if any of the "traffic generation" gigs really work or are scams, etc.

Thanks in advance for the help!

it is all untargeted traffic that is likely bots from China, use your $5 for lunch or something and get your traffic from better sources

I looked pretty hard into this and found the software most of them use. I actually have it.

I posted it to the WF before and got deleted.

It will boost raking a little bit and that's about it. Your hosting will hate you as you will clog up the servers.

Stay away from fiverr for traffic. If it is to good to be true, it probably is.

You can't buy worthwhile Traffic for $5.00. It's all bots, and would do your site and sales 0 good, and might potentially harm you.

    Not a good idea.

I disagree. I can get 300 clicks or better for $5.00 from a quality source, but it is very narrow traffic only suitable to certain types of offers.

PTC networks actually have good traffic when you know how to use it.

As far as Fiverr traffic gigs, don't do it. If you want to experiment with that kind of traffic, just go directly to adf.ly and buy proxy traffic. I can't recommend this from my personal experience, but there are those that claim they can convert this traffic. But again, only for very specific types of offers.

Buy an adwords voucher for the $5 on fiverr and drive targeted traffic to your webpage.

Good Call. A much better use of $5.00 on Fiverr for traffic purposes.

Don't buy "guaranteed traffic", because no one can deliver targeted traffic, so you waste your money.

Search "forum posting" on Fiverr. Posting good comments with signature links on relevant forums can generate traffic.

I have to agree - I don't think it would be very targeted at all. Pay some extra and get a solo ad. This will give you much more targeted traffic.

You can not get good quality traffic for $5.00 thats for sure

sources like ad.fly and fiverr provide the worst and lowest quality traffic

    Try facebook CPC

    or warrior forum solo ads

get auto responders and build a list

I would not personally trust traffic generated from fiverr although I do use the site for other things like graphics and programming. You may get google slapped if your found to be sending traffic that is generated

Yes, Fiverr is an awesome resource for traffic geeneration. I have used it with success as I have ordered SENuke and social bookmaking gigs. You need to check the rating of the seller and what the level of feedback is.

    • A fellow IMer made a good point about buying traffic on Fiverr:

"I thought I was being smart. I thought I could pay someone five bucks and they would work their magic and funnel all sorts of traffic to my new blog. Of course, I was experimenting, but I had no idea what kind of a fail to expect, so--naively--I hoped for success."

There's a lesson there about hoping for success when you can't clearly see how something can go wrong. There are a lot of Fiverr gigs that fall into this category, not just the "traffic" generation ones.

Using Fiverr for Traffic nothing but waste of money. It needless to say most of the fiverr guys will send untargeted and boot traffics

I might be a bit biased but so far the Gigs i purchase from Fiverr have not been impressive. So doubt the traffice generation would work.

But it could well be me not choosing the right ones as I do believe there are genuine people there.

I just got like 7000 the other day and it was crap and didn't convert at all.
you can get backlinks for SEO to boost rankings but that is even watered down some.

Don't ever use fiverr traffic, it is all garbage and a waste of time. Generating your own traffic for free is a zillion times more effective

Some Fiverr gigs are not bots, but rather human traffic. However they are all non-converting traffic. Which means, you won't make any sales and opt-ins will be minimal (like under 1%). People usually use it to increase their Alexa ranking but from my experience it minimally increases it. My suggestion is to stay away. If you want converting traffic that gets you customers then go for PPC traffic (in my opinion, it's the most stable traffic source). I use PPC for nearly everything I do online... it rocks

Thanks for the response to this old thread, Ben!

I've never used PPC anywhere else than Facebook.

Do you recommend that I explore Adwords?

I'm an author and my books are on Amazon. I actually do well sales-wise, and my gut tells me that more traffic to my books sales pages will mean more sales.

      Thanks again!

Forgive me because I'm new to the forum and have never ordered a fiverr gig, but I would be wary of anyone offering thousands of views for $5. I remember back in the late 90's when you would submit your website to 1000's of link boards with one click, your link would stay for 5 seconds until you refresh and it's gone filled with the next set of links! Never worked even back then when the internet was 1/4 the size it is now.

From a consumer's point of view some of those ad networks are dangerous. Do your research! Somehow Ad.Fly got installed on my brand new computer and totally took over everything. I couldn't search the web without huge page size ads popping up every time I clicked anything! It was a nightmare to say the least. I finally got rid of the virus and upgraded the security on my computer.

But from a business standpoint...how is this good for business? You've just annoyed the customer into thinking your just another scumbag. Why would they ever buy from you? I don't get it? I'm pretty sure some of those types of Fiverr Gigs are annoying your customers more then convincing them to visit your site. The only way to know for sure would be to test a few of them out and record the results and be ready if there is any issues.

IMO, I would stick with the tried and true, Google, Facebook, Bing PPC ad networks as the others stated above. I'm sure there are other good one as well. The ads are clean and non intrusive to me as the viewer. They don't feel so much like ads as more like featured suggestions for the topic. Again this is just my opinion however I am an avid online consumer and think it might be important from a marketing standpoint especially if your trying to create steady traffic to your new product site.

    Hope this helps!
    ~Judith

Don't use Fiverr for traffic generation. Your head will spin when you see 10,000 clicks to your squeeze page - and 0 sign ups. Stick with the proven ways: PPC, advertising on high traffic sites, facebook ads, etc. They can all work for you.

I've had success in the past with promoting a youtube page with social bookmarking gigs. However, that was a ways back before the latest panda/peguin updates so I'm not 100% sure how much benefit there is these days with that type of traffic tactic. There were some reputable sellers I remember as well but you have to dig a little to find them.

With $5, you'd be better off getting 10 TARGETED visitors from Google AdWords or Bing Ads than 5,000 UNTARGETED visitors from Fiverr. Mathematically it's simply much more profitable....

I agree. Use your money wisely, my man! Fiverr traffic is almost never a good idea (I say almost, because there MAY be a few people out of a few hundred who may actually do this right! Unlucky for them, the rest of the sellers have "destroyed" the market already)

Why is it that most of these traffic sellers are from overseas?

    I see in the profile:

My traffic best ever. It is very very good max. I will not make you waste a your hard ERRED money.

Frankly, my dear, I do give a damn about my hard ERRED money. Wish getting traffic was easy err.

I have tried the Traffic gigs myself with no luck. Even tried flyers linking to CB offers.

But that's the only way you'll ever know. Action is key. Until then, it's all theory.

I have had the best results with solo ads. I can break even most of the time and even profit on the front end.

That is how you get free leads.

But honestly, if you had access to high quality traffic that you owned would you really sell it for $5?
