Help with clickbank products - conversion rates

Hi

At the moment I am promoting a variety of clickbank products in different niches

I am mainly using rebrandable ebooks supplied, plr related products and articles so it is targeted traffic. I am achieving quite a good number of hops but i am not very happy with the conversion rates.

Most vendors claim a 3% conversion but to be honest I am receiving nothing like this. Although I am achieving a few sales I have products that have had 200- 400 hops with no conversions. I have even promoted a energy product using a rebrandable book that has had over 700 hops with no sales.

Does anyone have an idea of the true conversion rates or even if you have a product that has a decent conversion rate pm me with details and i will look to promote.

Any other ideas on increasing conversions would be helpful.

just as a thought although i would say that my traffic is classed as targeted it is not ppc or similar but free traffic so would this make a difference to the expected conversion figures

    My traffic to clickbank products have never converted at an equal value to what the publisher says. There's probably three reasons:
    1) their claims are inflated
    2) traffic is not targeted
    3) clickbank's tracking system is crap

    For the last 1200 hops i have received 3 sales (less than 1%)

    Great post, Chris.

    I especially like the idea of quoting your best affiliates. One, it shows the potential of the product. And two, it inspires the non super-affiliates.

    I give my affiliates links to either the page or the payment page. Many who do their own reviews and then just take them to the payment page convert a lot higher than just sending them to the page.

    From my experience, targeted traffic is king with Clickbank...as for the conversion rates on some products in the marketplace....I think they overrate their converting power....
