Possibly if you paste one of the articles in here, a few people (who use EZA) will have a quick look through it and tell you whether or not we think it has serious spelling/grammar mistakes. Just a suggestion?

(Spelling mistakes should be easily identified, anyway? Anyone can use a spellcheck?).

If the articles really do have spelling or obvious grammar mistakes, then there's no point in submitting them to EZA anyway: nobody's going to re-publish them, if the English is bad.

  • Mlkottam,

Typically content has to be pretty bad in order to not be accepted to Ezine. Are you sure this person writing for you is reputable?

I have never used this service before (and I’m a bit skeptical of a computer checking for grammar mistakes) but you could give it a shot.

    Hope that helps,

      This. Exactly.

We're talking "bare minimum acceptability standards", here. If content's declined by EZA for that reason (i.e. rather than for "lack of originality" reasons), then it's really very unlikely indeed to have any value to anyone's business, used any other way, anyway.

You can post the article here and let us read it. Then we can tell you whether your article has grammar and spelling issues.

If it does then you need to correct it and then in the future, you will know that the person who has written the article for you, has no clue how to do the job right the first time.

Not this time, though. The OP specified "due to spelling and grammar".

I also had same experience with Ezine Article. Because of their strict rules I can get only three articles approved in almost two years. At last I stopped submission. I know that I may articles may not up to their standard but it is really time consuming. Recently because of Google's Panda and Penguin updates I found that no Ezine articles are getting ranked in Google. I think Ezine articles are getting slapped mostly if I am not wrong. So, why waste time submitting articles to Ezine? Instead press releases, pdf submission sites like Scribid (submitted content) is getting ranked fast. It is also not time consuming also.

You're right about that (Panda, anyway, not so much Penguin) but that's actually a good thing for article marketers, not a bad thing. As so many of us have been saying here, since early 2011.

That makes it easier, safer and better for us to use EZA for its intended purpose without the risk that our potential customer traffic using Google might find those copies in preference to finding our own sites.

For all the reasons explained in this post, no article marketer would want their potential customers finding an article in a directory: that isn't who they're there for at all.

It isn't a waste of time. Respectfully, Pradeep, you've misunderstood the possible/available benefits from using an article directory: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

However, it remains simply factual that content declined by EZA for "literacy reasons" is in any case really very unlikely indeed to have any value to anyone's business, there or elsewhere.

If you are not really well versed in English and you direly need to submit to EZA, it is wise to hire a copy-editor from any of the freelance bidding sites (or, you can hire one from "Warriors for hire" as well). That saves time and energy, right?

Totally agree with you, Pradeep. If your sole purpose is to get republished elsewhere, why don't you just go contact the respective websites, e-zine publishers or bloggers for guest posting purposes? Why would take pains to leave your article somewhere unsafe, whence if your article is stolen, you might have to undergo a lengthy process of online copyright settlement? Moreover, there are hardly any sane popular bloggers who publish scrapped content from these article directories.

In short, without any SEO juice, SERP ranking and low republishing rate, I would steer clear of these article directories, so would any content marketers worth his salt.

What you need is a proofreader of English. There are many in Elance, DigitalPoint and Odesk. They charge around $1 per 500 words.

The hard truth is, if you can not proof read, edit, or basically understand conversational english then you should not be submitting articles to ezines.

You could go to fiverr and hire a proofreader, just make suer that they understand English

Why don’t you use Microsoft word starter? This is one that I use. It will check your grammar and spelling and correct it for you. I use to have mine rejected all the time. Now I use word starter before I submit to ezine, and I have never had an article rejected since I started using it. The best part is it’s free.

Ezine is now very strict as far as grammar and syntax are concerned and rightfully so! There's been so much crap for years that they had to take drastic steps!

I have had articles rejected in the past despite my triple checking the grammar etc! I emailed them and ask why since they were not pointing out where the problems were coming from. They responded that it wasn't about grammar but that my article was too "promotional"! Point taken!

Whilst I do agree with their grammar and general policy, I do think that they can be pedantic at times too!

Another thing I have noticed is that articles are sometimes rejected if written half in "English English" and half in "American English"!

Just shoot them an email and ask exactly what's wrong with the article. Ask for precise details! They usually respond quickly since all the content farmers aren't posting their crap there anymore lol!

    Good luck!
