Looking for a free offer/product for my blog's opt in

Happy New Year peeps. I hope everyone's had a good Christmas break.

I have decided to give my blog a bit of a make over and more importantly start to build my list. To do this I need a decent opt in.

I don't yet have a product of my own so I was wondering if anyone knew of where I could get some decent PLR maybe to offer as a free gift for opting into my list.

Obviously it will need to have value and be related to the IM niche.

I appreciate we are all busy folk and I have had a search on Google, but I thought I'd extend my search here as a lot of you have a wealth of experience in this area.

Also would it be a good idea to offer my opt in after posts as well as just at the top right hand side of my blog. What experiences of success does anyone have of using multiple opt ins on 1 page without scaring your visitor off?

Many thanks

Steve.

Resell-Rights-Weekly has many PLR stuff you can use. Ig you type in Google "best PLR sites", you will find what you are looking for.

What worked for me in the past was, top 10 tips to ?.

A newsletter is a great way to keep your visitors engaged.

I put a link at the bottom that says "learn more with you free gift".
Mainly for article directories and search engines.

    Hope this helps you

      Steve,

Your free gift can also be articles that you send to your list.

You can write this up yourself and each time you send them an email, add one.

At the end of the article, post a link to a product that you want to sell.

This works well too. People love to read free and informative content.

    Just google PLR ebook...

Take out each chapter and send them over a few email (modified them if needed)

This provide them information and also build up relationship...

One thing to take note is that the information nee to be update else you going to lose your subscriber..

I think PLR is the way forward but I want it to be enticing! Does anyone know how to have the opt in at the top of the page in the header so as when you first visit the page it almost looks like a squeeze page?

        Steve,

If you want to have more people opt into your list, then I would have the whole page as the opt in. Don't offer anything else. Build it as a squeeze page.

Internet Marketing is a really popular topic when it comes to PLR content... so there's a lot of PLR content out there. Is there a specific area within Internet Marketing that you're looking for?

I think PLR has it's place but personally I wouldn't use it for my opt-in bribe (or whatever you want to call it). Spend some extra time and create something unique. Give away some valuable information that your potential subscribers can't find anywhere else.

There are several advantages to doing this, including:

      1. You will stand out among all the other marketers who are using PLR.
      2. Obviously, you can modify PLR but by starting from scratch it will be easier to create an opt-in freebie that better relates to your market's needs and wants. Your opt-in bribe should transition smoothly to your first email follow-up and it should set your subscriber's expectation for what is to come.

It's always been my experience that it is better to take your time and create a valuable, unique opt-in freebie. Your subscribers will appreciate it.

        Definitely agree with those sentiments!

Differentiating yourself from others and offering a quality product for free will set yourself up for long term success with those that opt in to your list.

First impressions last, and in this case it is most certainly true!

I think this would be a huge mistake, Steve.

This is for people who end up struggling, later, to convince themselves that "20% open-rates are normal in the industry". :p

What you give as the freebie for the opt-in determines your continuity-process and expectation-setting. And on those two things your income depends.

I use these to offer something I hope will perceived as "information/secrets of great value", which is a little PDF specifically designed and created to be part of my continuity-process and to do all these things ...
    • Brand myself and my site
    • Fulfil the promise of offering information/secrets of great value
    • Set my subscribers' expectations
    • Ensure that the subsequent email series gets the maximum possible open-rate and attention (this is perhaps the one that most determines whether or not you make a living, which is why people "giving away some sort of old PLR/MRR-rights information and hoping for the best" are living on another planet: there's not much point in building a list if four-fifths of your subscribers aren't even willing to open and read your emails!)
    • Continue the process of establishing credibility and trust already commenced on my site
    • Provide content able to interest and impress subscribers enough to grab their attention and make sure they "stay with me" so that out of all the other lists they're also on (let's not pretend they're not!) mine is the link through which they effectively choose to buy
In other words, just like almost everything else that determines people's success/failure in internet marketing, it's almost all about quality and relevance.

I highly recommend you write something yourself. This way you can completely control both the quality and the content and create something that matches the needs of the people visiting your site.

But the main reason I'd recommend doing it is that it's a great learning experience and you'll get immense satisfaction and reinforcement when people start joining your list and getting helped because of something you made yourself.

Steve, i would create something yourself

Creating something unique to you will be appreciated way more

It doesn't have to be something ground breaking just as long as it solves a simple problem then it is fine.

It could be a simple 5 day video course showing how to set up a wordpress blog

It could be an in depth report about how to create a good squeeze page

It could a report on the 3 best traffic methods to use when starting out

Once you start thinking about what you're good at you will be surprised what you can come
    up with steve :-)

I need to update several free gifts.

I was going to create my own product (I still might) but just stumbled across a old PLR product in the WSO section that teaches evergreen tactics. It looks really good, something I'd be interested in buying just to read and I respect the author too.

I'm thinking of picking that up, revamping it and/or updating it. The other thought is turning the mind map that comes with it into a short video explanation.

If it's good. If it's relevant. If it provides value and if it can be presented in your own voice then I don't see any problems. But hey-ho... it's all about the benjamins... I mean results.
