Internet Marketing House

So I'm a bit of an online poker player on a part time basis and I know that a lot of pro poker players rent a house and move in with other poker players for extra motivation and to emerse themselves in the game..

I was wondering if the same thing happens in the interent marketing world..?

    ha, I remember there was a reality show a few years back on G4 about a bunch of high stakes online poker players that did that in Vegas..

    I've never been on one of their getaways but I connected with a lot of the people who set it up a few years back through The Four Hour Workweek. I can tell you they are all very cool (and very smart) people who are 100% legit. They all make A LOT of money and have a lot of great ideas to share/collaborate on.

    I keep putting it off but I might go to Thailand with them this year. Who knows, maybe I'll see some of you there.

      Yeah I remember watching that.. it was called "2 months 2 million".
      They ended up making just over 600k in the 2 months which is still very good.

      I'm in Thailand at the moment and there are so many poker houses here its amazing. Just guys from America mainly that have moved here to play poker for a living since online poker became illegal in the States a while back..

      I'm sure the same thing happens in the IM world just gotta seek it out..

    I do not think that happens in the I'm community, and if it happens I do not know about it. However, the idea seems pretty interesting to be done from time to time, as things change quickly in this industry.

      Seems strange that they are so popular in the poker community but not in the IM community..

      I guess the poker community consists of a different demographic of people..

      I think it would be cool if they started popping up though.. Spend 6 months - 1 year living in a different country with like minded people.. Great excuse to travel while gaining more knowledge about the industry and motivation.

        Personally I'd steer well clear of gambling in Thailand Fergal as it's illegal and if the police were to raid a Poker house, the occupants could find themselves in big trouble unless they had the cash to buy their way out.

        An Internet Marketing House would be cool tho

    I came across a website a few years ago, that I saw advertised on a non IM forum, that was advertising for online entrepreneurs to go live either in Philippines or Indonesia in a shared house and everyone in the house was making money online in one way or another. I've no idea of the website URL now or the details of it but something similar exists if not exactly what you asked.

      Never knew about that though but this kind of platform can enrich the knowledge of a marketers. I think this kind of get together should increase.
