Java script enabled from visitors - is it that important?

I've read a few articles about java script but didn't find any that answers how important it is from a buyer's view. Hope you can help me guys as always.

So I was looking for paid traffic for my landing page with an optin.
And I saw some negative comments from buyers where they're complaining that the visitors they got doesn't have any java script enabled.

So, if I want visitors to go to my landing page with an optin, does it matter if my visitors have java script in my case?

That is quite a huge problem. Of course it depends on the audience you have. If you're going for a general audience, JavaScript is probably on.

Really? It's that huge? What happens if the visitors I got doesn't have their Java Script on? I asked for real human traffic. But I never asked anything about the java scripts of the visitors. Next time I'll ask if they can give me some with on Java Scripts. Thanks for replying.

Javascript only comes into play if something on your page uses Javascript. If you are using Javascript on your page then yes, those without javascript are not going to be bale to see or use that content.

The percentage of visitors with javascript disabled nowadays is very small. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's always better to code things without javascript if possible but certain things require javascript and it's no big deal.

Someone who doesn't have javascript enabled is not someone you would want on your list anyway because they can't watch videos, they can't do a lot of things.
I see. Thank you. I'm not really sure if my website has javascript installed in it because I have it made by someone else. It's just a simple one page site with an optin beside it for list building.

So in short, assuming that I have a java script equipped site that has videos, and some of my visitors doesn't have any java script, that's where I start to have a problem.

JavaScript can be disabled in individual browsers but it's fairly rare to do it these days. The reason is that more and more sites use JavaScript for special effects and animation on the client side after the page has been loaded.

It's very unlikely that you can get a large amount of legitimate traffic and find that everyone who visited your site has JavaScript disabled.

That makes the traffic source suspect to me.
Yeah it does seem shady to me. But I'm listing each and other sellers that offers traffic. I got 2 that worked fine and showed results because they we're able to give me leads, bots won't do that. Some however do not. Still, thanks for the answers!

Well it depends what content you have on the page.

If you look at your page source code you may notice some <script> tags or files that end in .js. That is javascript and only those users with javascript enabled will see that content.

Depending on how you installed your optin form it could also be served via javascript. Some services such as Aweber give you one line of code to paste into your page and that line uses javascript.

            This isn't right at all.

This should almost never be an issue at all. Very little real human traffic has Java disabled, these days. (Automated/fake/bot traffic might, though? That's probably what you had, Jensha).

Nearly every major website out there uses javascript, and many to a very large degree (like google).

If your visitor doesn't have javascript enabled, then there's a 98.3421% chance it isn't an actual human visitor.
