Default What's your Basic Formula -Budgeting in for *Refunds

This is mine...

I expect 2%
Plan for 8%
settle for 3%

This is a basic evaluation for me. When looking at a product I ask myself if it falls into this basic group and go from there. Every product developer / creator should assign a fixed cost of percentage attributable to refunds into their marketing budget.

What is your basic formula?

Thanks
Sean

I don't do PPC/other paid marketing, I leave it to my affiliates. Everything else I do myself.

Yea I do not do much in the way of paid marketing either.....some testing here and there....

This is more for the product creator....especially with an affiliate program. As your product moves beyond your list...which may be tested and trusted...into the affiliate bases list....the message can become construed and someone simply may want a return. Not because the product was bad....but because it simply was not what they were looking for...
