Hi Warriors:
Welcome to the weekend. There is going to be a new Social Networking Site soon that promises to have a revenue sharing model. One of the ways they tell the consumer they can make money is not only by getting people to sign up and to sell their products but if the individual gets somebody to come to any of their pages on the site they will be given monies at the end of the month. Here is the question please. As a company how do they protect against somebody telling their friends/family to click on the pages to make the numbers higher and as a consumer how does the honest member not be taken advantage of if people are clicking on their page? It seems that if Jane and John Doe go about this the right way and start promoting it to their list or social sites they will have no way of knowing if the true page views were 1,5, or 500 and on the flip side the company wouldn't know if out of 500 clicks on the Jane/John pages 437 came from the family, friends, co-workers, or neighbors. While it sounds interesting in theory is there a way that a company/software/ can do this the right and ethical way? Thanks so much for the information as always and may you enjoy the evening! |

The model is 'revenue sharing' NOT revenue generating.
If no revenue is generated by all these semi-fraudulent clicks, there is nothing to share - so - no problem. |

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies! |
