How much would you pay per opt-in?

If you were running a paid ad to collect opt-ins, how much are you willing to pay per opt in? If it cost you $100 per day to run your as and you got 100 opt-ins per day, that means 1.00 per person. Is that to high, average, low? What would YOU pay?

Depending on the quality of the opt-ins, what kind of actions they'll be willing to execute, like buying your offers. That could pay the price.

if average earnings per opt-in > CPA (opt-in), then #WINNING

    else #LOSING

a real answer is going to depend on many variables. we can't go on what you gave us.

Thomas, in most niches you can make a ton of money if decent "quality" subscribers only cost you $1. I average well over $1 in profits per subscriber per MONTH for all 4 of my lists in 4 different niches. I know some people that average $2-5 a month per subscriber.

In my early days I was even making over $1 per subscriber per month from "freebie seekers" so yeah, unless you have no clue how to monetize them you should be just fine paying $1 per subscriber...

I'd pay up to $1 per legitimate opt-in.

1$ is kinda the "value" you usually get out of 1 opt-in but that really depends on the niche you are into and the products you are selling

Varying amounts, on a niche-to-niche basis (because they're worth different amounts to me, on a niche-to-niche basis).

But generally ... "a lot", and certainly far more than $1, as long as they're people who've come to my site by seeing one of my syndicated articles somewhere they were already reading and clicking on its link. Because that qualifies them to be valuable customers. (SEO traffic opt-ins aren't worth nearly as much to me, by comparison, though they're still worth more than $1!)

if it's from targeted traffic? I'd happily pay $1 (assuming I make on average > $1 per subscriber, which I do)

If you make $3k a year from a list of 1k, I ask you: would you pay $1 per subscriber??

If not, then perhaps business isn't your thing

When I got started, once I had some metrics down and saw I was getting $2 per subscriber within the first 10 days, I pulled out all the stops.. skipped my bills, etc and just poured every penny I could get my hands on into getting the subscribers!

    Niche?

    Single or double opt-in?

Geo source: World, North America, USA only?

This would depend on your average customer value, and how many opt ins it takes on average to convert one into a customer.

Say you get one buyer out of every 50 opt ins, buying a product of $100 profit and that is all you sell then each opt in is worth $2 profit to your business.

This means anything less than that is making you money.

To find out what they are worth though you need to be testing and it is obviously harder to work out if you have several products and up sells etc.
