Hi Warriors Clickbank Merchants & Affiliates,

I am first time Clickbank Merchant and Need some advice, hope you will guide me.
Would you please share your best tips for a first time Clickbank Merchant?
I was so excited to get my product approved in Clickbank. Just wanted
to know some tips to give my affiliate program a boost so it attracts
affiliates who may like to promote it.

It is a wordpress plugin.
I have set to 60% comission.
Price point is $27 with $17 as lower-end and $49.99 as upper-end.

Is there any checklist to follow to get things in good form.
Also are there any New Affiliate Program annoucement forums or lists or resources?
also if any affiliate directories like AssociatePrograms site (Where i have submitted already.)

I know my salesletter copy was weak, but i have improve and improving after I got
Copy Critique from a very Kind Fellow Warrior, a friend of mine and respected Copywriter,
Mike Humphreys.

Looking forward to get your advice and tips. Cannot wait to apply them and
make my affiliate program get on the radar of good affiliates

Thank you,
Mohsin

Since there are plenty of affiliate marketers here like me... asking us to promote would be a no-brainer.

^ Not sure if you are allowed to start a thread asking us to promote it or check out. Maybe a WSO? Not sure about that. This way you can sell your product and inspire marketers to get on board as an affiliate.

Without seeing your offer, looks like you got it going to a great start... Offering 60%, upsell and downsell.

WP plugins sell great - so the potential for sales is high and your price point is low enough to attract a lot of buyers.

If you offer a "lead referral" (sub affiliate), you can get folks with stout email lists to promote your offer as an affilite - this will let marketers know it is available and jump on board.

I think your offer is fine if you want some affiliates promote it. But I think that you should give 100% commission in the front end and 50% in the backend. Let me explain you what you will accomplish with this. Your front-end will give you the list you want and the backend will help you get more money.

Make sure your sales page is affiliate friendly.

Don't have an opt-in forum on the sales page. Make sure the affiliate link will be saved in the customers cookies if they navigate away from the sales page.

Build an affiliate section under the spot light in Click Bank. This is the number one thing I look for when promoting a product. It makes the affiliates job much easier.

Articles, videos, banner ads, email series, ext... This will all help affiliates sell your product.

Reply back to your affiliates. There was a few times I didn't promote a product because the vendor never replied back.

It would be nice to see your plug-in.

    Good luck

      Hi Mohsin,

I also promote my products through Clickbank and one of the best ways that worked for me to attract affiliates was to seek for relevant bloggers and sites' owners and email them personally offering them to promote my product and giving them a special coupon for their audience.

Another important thing that can help is giving your affiliates marketing resources to promote your product. There is a product called WP Affiliate Surge that allows you to easily create a simple interface for your affiliates where you can upload banners, pre-written emails and even pre-written twits.

If you give your affiliates all the tools they are more likely to promote your products.

      Hope that helps...

      Good luck with your product.

Thank you for the encouraging feedback KingMedia! I will ask friends and Warrior like
you to promote this Doing some tweaks to copy and adding affiliate tools to make
it easy for my promoting partners.

This tip of "sub affiliate" is great. I did not know that it is possible with CB,
but just today had great skype session with my friend and mentor Kevin Riley,
and he told me that how CB can easily help me setup using their Contracts feature.
So i am definitely going to look into this and implement this. Thank you!

I am going to add link to my CB site, so you can see the plugin i am talking about. As
currently I have a WSO for it, but that is not on CB (it was not approved there yet)
    Thank you!

Thank you for this tip! I wanted to have something in place as we will have more plugins,
already one in beta testing phase! Problem is that i cannot use Paypal in Pakistan, so
have to use 2Co or CB. Do not know if with CB you can have something setup like this,
where you can offer 100% on front-end and make money on backend?

Thanks again for your time and input!
