Economy Getting Better Meaning More Money

Hey all. I'm convinced November 2012 was the beginning of a recovering economy. I started in the dead of it back in 2009 but I have sold random stuff in the past. I remember how bad it was on Ebay. Everyone was complaining but we all kind of got used to it.

What this mean now? I think we are all going to see a 30% increase in income generally across the board by the end of 2014. Until then, there should be a steady climb to that 30%.

My personal opinion and not a fact, but I look around and watch the economy from every angle I can with my limited time. Hopefully we will all see more money!

Although the economy may be recovering - and that's provided the bickering US Congress doesn't make a mess of things - the only thing that will build your business or anyone else's is an increase in the value you provide.

If you focus on that, then the rest will follow.

I agree with Bruce. When we focus on value, we will succeed with effort over time. There's evidence in each industry, worldwide, that as economic situations change, we as humans reward business for producing value. We vote with our pocketbooks.

Simply, if economy is getting better then people would spend more than what they were spending, it would help in earning too.

i started my business in 2007 and have seen a more than 100% increase in sales every year, the economy having an affect on your business is only a mindset thing unless you happen to own a large retail store like best buy

Economic condition is just one factor, business strategies and value relevance to a certain need is another factor.

I don't know where you live but around here the economy seems far from recovering...

Ditto. Here in the 'Rust Belt' the economy remains in tatters.

That said I do agree that small businesses like the ones run by IMers are not really being impacted by negative economic conditions.

When you only have 0.00000001% of the market share you have to be more focused on improving your operations that the overall economy.

If you're basing your assumption that the economy is recovering on what's reported by the mainstream media, then you should find another source for information. Businesses around here are still folding. I know of a Honda shop in my hometown that was in business when I was a young kid that is closing before the first quarter of this year is over. And I'm 50 years old. There may be some pockets of recovery, but the economic crisis is far from over. If you want insulation from a recession, create a recession proof business.
