Removing Blacklisted Domain Status

Hi Guys and Gals,

I have a client who is on page 4 of Google and his domain is blacklisted. The client's budget is limited so doesn't have thousands of dollars to spend on SEO.

1) Is there a simple solution or anything I can do to rectify the situation?

2) Some people have advised me on getting the Virtual Dedicated Service Reseller Hosting for the client? Would this get rid of the blacklisted domain status. If so could you please advise further.

Many thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Not possible if the domain is indexed and on page 4 to be blacklisted. Might have just dropped in ranking

Here is a domain of mine which I dropped that got deindexe/blacklisted with 55k pages that use to have all the pages indexed. It is gone from google index site:epropnet.info

I'd think about putting a "no follow" on the blacklisted page, and putting an automatic redirect on it to a page that isn't blacklisted.

I don't know if this will solve the problem, but it's the lateral thinking that's important.

How about getting a Reseller dedicated server from Godaddy. Would that move from shared to Virtual dedicated server VDS do the trick?

The type of "blacklisting" that the OP is talking about has to do with IP addresses that have been used for spamming, etc. This is a common occurrence when using "shared hosting" because your site is sharing an IP address with hundreds of other sites, and if just one of them does anything shady, the IP could get blacklisted with any number of the blacklisting databases. This issue has nothing to do with search engine rankings except that Google may check to see if the domain's IP is blacklisted and use that information when deciding where to rank the site.

The easiest way to solve the problem is to get a dedicated IP address using an IP that's not blacklisted. You can get a dedicated or virtual private server (VPS). It's not worth the time and effort to contact the 60+ blacklisting sites and ask them to remove your site from their databases.

As for reseller hosting, you don't need that in order to solve this problem. There may be other reasons for your client wanting or needing reseller hosting, but like I said, it's not necessary for fixing this.

Dedicated fresh / clean IP address is the best solution in my view also.
