Accounting software for Macs and Beginners

Hi all

A belated Happy New Year to all Warriors. I hope 2013 brings you lucrative success.

Our blog is starting to generate cash - so I need to look at becoming official. I was wondering what software packages are the best for Mac Users and people who are new to this stuff.

I don't need to generate invoices, it is mainly for keeping tabs on incoming and outgoings so I do not upset to the tax man.

I hear Quickbooks spoken about a lot, curious to know what advice fellow Warriors can offer.

Thanks!

Shane

I highly recommend using Quickbooks. The Mac version use to be pretty bad and was no comparison to the Windows version. Through the years though they have updated it and it functions very well. You can also try QuickBooks Online.

I was looking through the FreshBooks site and it looks like it would be a good program. I believe some on the WF have mentioned this program. It is also listed on MacWorld article along with QuickBooks online. Paypal integration with Freshbooks though... I like that.

I am a Quickbooks Proadvisor and Intuit needs to work in Paypal integration. There are add-ons available but when other programs have it built in they really should consider it.

I would suggest QuickBooks but not the QuickBooks for Mac but QuickBooks for Windows. This is because QuickBooks for Windows is quite powerful than QuickBooks for Mac. You must be surprised that how can I suggest QuickBooks for Windows for your Mac computer? Don't worry - the answer is that you can run QuickBooks for Windows from your Mac computer if you get QuickBooks for Windows hosted on cloud. I am running my QuickBooks this way; my QuickBooks for Windows is hosted on the cloud of Real Time Cloud Services. I access it from my Mac computer. QuickBooks is such software that helps much both the beginners and expert accountants.
