How can I attract affiates for my product just listed in Clickbank?

Ok that might work .... How do I find others outside my niche I have a small niche. I want to blitz many affiliates.

Create your own promotional pages and promote your own affiliate links. By getting sales on your own this way, your product will rise in the Clickbank search engine and be seen by more potential affiliates. Once they see that your product has potential and sales you've made on your own, they'll start to come by on their own.

set up 5 or 10 affiliate accounts at CB. Set up sales pages for every "affiliate". Drive traffic to all of them.

This will help your gravity. When other affiliates see your gravity increasing, they will try promoting your product.

Winebuddy, what kind of Affiliate Tools are the most interesting to affiliates? Can you elaborate on this please?

Email the customers about your new product, with some attractive banners and also offer them good discounts if they buy in 1 week or so.

you gotta have the affiliate resources but you also need a crisp-looking salespage with solid graphics... IMHO your banner isn't too hot and it's distorted (wrong size or something) but it would turn me off as an affiliate!

so if I were you I would have a fellow warrior design a nice header, footer and mini site graphics which should cost you no more than $60; that alone would drive more sales and interest more affiliates along with the other things shared thus far.

Search forums and google for JV's.
There are membership sites who announce your product to their mailing list of affiliates and they sign up to promote your product.

CB affiliates are hanging out there all the time.

You could also write articles about affiliate marketing and promote your affiliate program in the resource box.

You could also write to other marketers and ask them to recommend your aff program to their affiliate list (ad swap or cash payment).

the problem with setting up mutliple CB accounts to manipulate your gravity is that each one will have to meet the minimum requirements for CB to pay you

here's why I would not consider promoting it:

the page is formatted poorly. the content is wider then the header.

the testimonials strike me as fake since they do not have full names.

the sales copy needs work.. it's all feature based, not benefits (tell me about how even the uggliest ******* is popular with the ladies when he's a bartender ). It's all bold. The first few paragraphs don't read easily - sentences run on, etc.

These issues would prevent me from sending traffic to it, as I would feel that the site just wouldn't convert.

It's a pretty cool looking site. I do have some suggestions.

Your copy is hard to read with it being white and black. The letters actually seem to glow. I think the font is too small. Before anyone makes a crack about me needing glasses I am wearing them right now.

The lay out is busy and confusing. One moment I am reading your copy the next I am looking at your opt in and then your price and then back to the copy and then I get distracted by your testimonials and then back to the copy. I would work on your sites flow.

JohnFrem - how much of your product concept came from the AudioMixologist? I know he (Dave) was the first ever to create such a product. He showed it off at the 4 hour work week forums a while ago. To be clear, I am not flaming. Competition is fair game.

How is your conversion rate? Whenever someone asks me to promote a product I will want to know what the conversion rate is of the sales page before I spend any of my time or money trying to promote their product.

If you don't know what your conversion rate is and haven't tested to optimize your sales page you're going to have a difficult time recruiting affiliates.

How about advertising a competition for your top affiliate?? People love to beat the competition.

Write ads and articles with keywords related to your product which will drive traffic to your site. Another way to increase traffic is to have links to other sites. Remember to use the best keywords for your targeted market on your website or sales page and choose your domain name wisely. You can also try writing articles and submitting them to related e-zines. When you do this always make sure your articles are filled with quality content. This will pique interest and the articles can include your bylines at the bottom. Then whenever someone reads your article they will be exposed to a link to your website.

There are some good suggestions in this thread, and some good challenges of suggestions as well, a healthy debate...

One of the most important things (mentioned by a couple of others earlier in this thread) is knowing your sales letter conversion numbers BEFORE trying to get affiliates on CB.

The last product I helped a client put on Clickbank, I created an affiliate page on their site with multiple affiliate promotional materials, listed the pre-established conversion rate in the Clickbank affiliate description itself, and a month later without doing any extra promotion, there were a lot of Clickbank affiliates promoting the product, even running Google Adwords for related keywords.

(Side Note: If I'd had the time, the next thing to do would have been to contact possible affiliates ASAP to get them to promote, but this was a quickie deal)

If you THINK your sales letter is good but you don't already have any conversion stats, odds are, it's probably NOT good... and experienced affiliates will be able to tell.

Great point Tim. knowing your conversion rate is one of the single most important aspects you need to have your head around to attract high performing affiliates. once known, I would make this the focus of any approaches you make to prospective affiliates.

This is a very interesting discussion, and I'm learning with everyone's answers. I want to find many affiliates that will really promote my ebooks too, but nothing is really simple... They need the right audience.

When I launched my first ebook I took massive action. I developed a killer affiliate page with all the promotional items my affiliates could ask for. From there i went to all the major players in my niche and sent them emails regarding my product and a review copy so they could see what I was selling was a valuable product for their list. Then I purchased a few traffic sources and wrote up a few articles and presto. I had over 3k sales in my cb account. Bottom line u gotta take action and get your product seen by other players in your niche and get some good self promotion going. Good luck with your product.

Hi John,

Here's another tip ... look for merchants selling the physical products, e.g. bar-stools, etc. (you can usually find them in affiliate networks such as CJ, Linkshare, shareasale, etc)

Offer them a special report with their affiliate link embedded so that they can offer it to their website visitors, etc.

No extra work on their part, they add more value to their website visitors and more exposure/sales for your site.
