Handling a Refund

INTERNET MARKETING

Is it alright to refund someone for the reason that your product is not what he/she was looking for?

Doesn't sound like a fair reason to the seller, and the affiliate promoter, but I don't think it is wise to reject a refund request in this instance either.

Would love to hear some advice. Thanks!

Yes, it's better to do the refund. If you are dealing with Paypal, you don't want to create any issues that could cause them to question your account and possibly lock it on you.

Sometimes, it can be our fault if someone requests a refund, because we may not have done a good job with our sales pages. The nice thing about offering refunds is that people are more inclined to buy from you if they know there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee if they are not happy with something. If the customer returns and chronically requests refunds though, then you want to block that customer. IP addresses can help you track dishonest customers.

  Well, the guarantee was supposed to be like "if you can't learn this skill that I taught you in 30 days, I will refund you."

- Depends on your refund policy
- Depends on your description as well
- Depends of your product -screenshots were included?-
- If you are working with paypal, you might end up with a temp blocked account which can cause a mess

  I used to spend a lot of time to proof or disprove the validility of refunds through PayPal and this was very time consuming - I rather spend my time serving customers instead of fighting the bad ... IMO

Yeah, always refund without question, even if you do think it's a bit unreasonable - it's a waste of effort doing anything else. If someone is a serial refunder, you can always block them from buying from you again.

I always get request for refunds I know they are fraudulent

it is part of doing business

what else can anyone say

I will honor a refund without any doubt if the customer thinks my quality is not there. But this request happens to be someone saying "this is not what I need" after going through my stuff.

I believe my sales page was very clear about its content. So far I haven't had any other similar complaints like this. Seems like some people just don't read properly, and we got to live with that.
