Yahoo Directory

Was wondering is it worth the $200 a year, I cant way up the option of having a decent powerful back link, then using my normal back linking process. i.e 2.0 into the yahoo page and the using magic submitter to do 5 tier back linking.

But the problem is I can not weigh up the $200 fee.

    I think there are many directories worthwhile and this is one of them. There are others that are less expensive (Cannylink, Best of the Web, Dirjournal).

    you can also get listed in yahoo search without paying that directory fee.

    Yahoo and big have merged their 'webmaster tools'. set your site up there and you'll get indexed, free Bing - Webmaster Tools



    I am not saying that paying the fee to list yourself in the directory is worthless. I am only pointing out an alternative to get your site indexed in yahoo search for free.

    to get a site indexed is simple - twitter / facebook and you can get it indexed within a few minutes. But I cant weigh up the cost to benefit of paying for directories. Don't get me wrong all my web sites ranks well but I want more.

    Directories are a great way to get your site on the map. It is not quantity, but quality. Now continuing to get listed over a period of time in quality directories can certainly help your ranking, but submitting to 1000 directories in one week or something is foolish. Instead, have a consistent plan to seek out the good one many of which can be found here

      i didn't know you have to pay yahoo directory. surely there is alot of free directories that have the same effect to your backlinks.

    $200 seems like a lot for one link from Yahoo directory, personally I don't think it's worth it!
