Hi warriors, I please need your help. What is the best way to convert my ebook pdf format into an mp3's audio format using a female voice ? Any recommendation as far as companies that would do this? or should I post a project on elance.com or gurus ? Thank you very much ![]() Marc |

Hi Marc: Shop around for rates from professional companies but be aware their fees are often very steep. You can check E-Lance to see what the going rates would be and get a good indication what it will cost but.... You want references and samples no matter the price. Make it very clear what you need and when (tell them you need the project done several days before you actual do. This helps in case something comes up. To avoid being displeased make sure you hear the first few pages so if it is off track you fix the situation before the entire contents are read incorrectly. You want a genetic speaking voice. Good luck! |

I would post on Craigslist.com in Los Angeles for female voiceover artists.

You may try Verbose Text to Speech Software: is a text to speech program which will read aloud any text or save it as mp3. Take care, Philok |

Be cautious using any software. I have checked and to use the voices for ANY "commercial use" requires a licensing fee for all I found. It was as high as $6K/year and as low as $1,795 depending upon how it is to be distributed. Trying to beat the odds and using it with hopes of not getting caught is unwise. Bottom line it is expensive. I'm going to be offering the service myself but, my best female voice I can muster still sounds like a dude ![]() My new sig(just today) mentions this. For the highest quality voices, meaning NON synthesized sound, research "IVONA Multimedia" and Expressivo Text Reader. One voice license is $1,790 annually Two voice license is $2,950 annually I just was quoted yesterday and was offered a 15% discount OR free tech support for year. Researching other brands found some excellent voices but, for some reason not all the voices offered were equal quality. They ALL sound synthesized. There are also online services where you past in the text and it outputs the audio. For the HOURS I researched I should do a WSO report on it ![]() Good luck, John |

If it helps, I just used voice123.com to do a couple of voice overs for me after a recommendation from a couple of warriors- I needed the opposite- a male voice. I found it was awesome. I posted the job ad yesterday and have been emailed the completed job today. Obviously the turn around time etc will vary depending on who you hire but it is a great place to find voice talent, quiclky and easily- got a big thumbs up from me. Rhiannon |

"voice over" is an industry in itself.. I will never use text to speech software.. have you tried those software?? it sounds awful.. spend a little money, use a real human actor/actress
