Default What do you think of my New video squeeze page?

I admit it's very a basic, no frills approach as I've spent my time creating the main content (the first series of traffic getting daily tips / site content) check it out here - Get More Sales

I think long pages of text are boring when you can get it all into a video. Thank you for your feedback.

I actually found it quite...NLP

Sign Up...Free...Today...Free...Today...Sign Up...

I liked it.

I'm also willing to bet your approach will get a lot of new MMO's throwing their email addy at you like knickers at a Tom Jones gig.

Cool use of Google Earth, too.

If you're looking for ideas on ways to potentially improve your opt-in rate, then I'd definitely consider making your video so it displays something compelling when it's paused at the beginning.

The blank video screen will be missed (on purpose or not) by some.

Matt Trainer and Frank Kern and Jeff Walker and a whole army of unkowns all use this page layout with good results so you're following a pretty well proven model. That's smart.

But I'd make the form table completely white and use graphic arrows pointing to the text fields and a graphic "Show Me More" button.

I'd lose the headline up top and condense it down into one killer jab right above the opt-in form

The worst news is that it's debatable whether or not the video is even a video. For a video to sell it needs to SHOW THEM something, man!

Nothing wrong with writing bullets on powerpoint slides and using that behind a screen capture. I love presentation videos.. Millions and millions of dollars have been made using nothing more than stock Keynote on the Mac.

You've got to put in more effort or hire it out to somebody. Scott Woodside here on the forum does super-fast, inexpensive voiceovers and audio productions. He may even have a WSO running. Get him to produce an audio package and use that as the background audio for a powerpoint presentation and you'll be in muchly much better shape than you are now.

If you want to ditch copy and make the jump to nothing but video you've got to do the work normally done by written copy on the page - that you've now eliminated.

But have you really ditched copy? No.

Video is not a shortcut. It's more work. A LOT more work. And you still have to write the copy if you want the video to work.

Anyway, layout is a good choice for your plan with a few tweaks. The video itself is not, yet...

Hope this helps,

Brian

Mick,

I agree with alot of Marks comments. Take a look at this sample. If you like it, PM me and I'll send you the unencrypted template and you can re-work it if you want.

What I'm sending piggybacks on LoudMac's post. You'll see what I mean!

If you want to spend $100 I could make it really sing.

I agree the video does need work, but I think a rework on the layout would dramatically increase results too

PM me if you would like to discuss

Darren

Exactly. This is a proven model. Quite simply it works.

However here are a few differences, that after you change will make your squeeze page convert much better:

1. You may like to get a header graphic, this simply looks professional and helps brand your website

2. Capitalize the first letter of each word.

3. Narrow your headline (eg- so that it doesn't cover the entire width of the screen)

4. Put an arrow or something to your opt-in form

If you do all that, you should have a pretty good converting squeeze page. Ofcourse remember to test and track our progress all the time to ensure the best results

I would say that this would be money well spent!

These guys do fantastic work and I'd love to see what happens to the content & look.

As it is, the video is a real snooze...

I like it, one suggestion would be to put the main content in a div tag and make it like 700 or so pixels wide so that it looks a bit better, and a header/footer would be good too.
