Wanna Know the Best Single Skill For Increasing Profits? Take a look now...

Hey folks,

Something's bothering me...

I've been around these forums for a long time. I have seen the 'get rich quick' schemes. The auto-blogs. Blackhat. Greyhat. Everything you could imagine...

Unlike many peeps, I've been successful.

I'm a full-time internet marketer. Since uni I've never had another job. Never needed one...

I've not contributed too much. Let's change that now...

This fine Sunday, I'm gonna try to help...

(Some people will ignore my advice. Some'll think I'm dumb. Some will "know better!" Ok, that's cool...)

But...

If one person reads this and changes their strategy, I'll be happy.

Here's the best piece of advice I've ever heard. The best you'll ever hear...

...If you wanna make a living out of IM...

Get good at looking after your lists...

I don't mean, "get ok". I don't mean, spend an hour a day on that; five hours a day on something else...

I mean get real freakin' GOOD at looking after your lists...

People here are obsessed with SEO. Obsessed with turn-key systems. Obsessed with shortcuts.

Some are even into list-building. List building is vital. Real important...

But you can have a small list and make stacks of cash. If you...

Get good at looking after your lists...

I learned the hard way. I had a site which got thousands of unique visitors a day. All from SEO.

Then one day...

...BOOOOOOM...

A penguin came along a ruined it. A freakin' penguin!

With Google, any sweet fluffy animal can come and destroy your income. Could be a Koala. Or a zebra. A meercat. A puppy. Whatever...

Who knows whats 'round the corner?!

When it happens, it's like a grizzly bear has rampaged around your house, ravaged your wife and eaten your favorite pet goldfish!

===================
What I learned...
===================

Lemme tell ya what I learned. I hope some of you take it on board...

* * * * *

They say 90-97% of IMs don't make money. Not a dime. This makes me real uncomfortable...

Why is Apple so successful?

They simplified. They made it easy...

Listen to music. Do some work. Make a phone call...

The process is so simple...

Don't get caught up with all the fluff.

Simplify...

* * * * *

Here's a simple way of makin' money.

Build a list. Look after that list.

By...

1,

Give free stuff away. Your best free stuff.

If you're selling (or promoting) a product, tell the list the best bits.

It may seem crazy! You may say, 'No!' It may seem counter-intuitive.

Your best stuff has the most value... RIGHT?!

Your best stuff is what they should pay for!!! RIGHT?!

No!

Give it to 'em.

When a customer is given something for free - something powerful - they think you're THE MAN.

It builds trust. A relationship.

They think, 'Damn, Mr/Mrs X [YOU] knows their sh**! They recommend that thing so I can learn even more? I'd better buy it!'

2,

Be a hero. Be a character. Be likeable.

Make 'em always open your emails first. How?

Tell a story. Your story. (Or the character you create!)

Use cliffhangers!

Make it like a good novel. Always leave things open for another email...

Intersperse rock-solid information with a story about the character.

That is building a relationship. When people feel they know you they trust you!

Also, don't try to sell 'em something all the time. Ask about them. Learn your lists wants and desires. Then fulfil them.

If loads of people want to learn about how to prune a 6" bonsai tree. Tell 'em how to prune a 6" bonsai tree!

But in an exciting way...

[eg. Hey buddy, I got loads of emails about how to trim 6" bonsai trees. Lemme tell ya, when I did it the first few times, they came out lookin' like driftwood. Totally destroyed.

My wife came in as I finished and said, 'What did that poor tree do to tick you off?!'

I know I'm dumb, right! haha.

She called me the 'Tree Surgeon' for about 2 months...

Now I'm a master though. I got a little bonsai forest in my greenhouse...

(Shhhh, don't tell anyone. But I'm buildin' a bonsai army. Like Treebeard in Lord of the Rings. Haha.)

Anyhoo..

Here's how it's done.

[BEST ADVICE HERE]

Send me your snaps in an email. We can have a bonsai-off!

(I'm so not down with the cool kids!)

Speak soon,
Tree Surgeon

P.S. I made an even bigger mistake carin' for these little things. One that KILLS 75% within 2 months...

I'll tell ya next time...

I'll even tell you what the wife called me then... It's so embarrassing.]

NOTE: I've never been in the bonsai niche! I just made all that up...

I've learned to get real good at building relationships with a list.

====================
When done right this means...
====================

When you do this right, your lists will be profitable for months and years after they signed up...

What this means is that you don't have to concentrate on SEO.

Instead, figure out the lifetime value of each subscriber. That figure gives you the MAXIMUM you can afford to spend on new ones.

Paid traffic may be scary. Money is on the line, right?!

But unlike Google and their rankings, businesses want you to do well. You make them richer when you do your job better...

You buy more ads. You scale out.

Everyone wins. You. Your list. And the sites you advertise on!

====================
Final Advice
====================

Get REAL GOOD at looking after your lists. Your main focus (at least until you're very profitable) should be extracting the most money out of your current list as possible.

That's done with adding value, giving before receiving, being a friendly hero and showing them massive respect.

(Then you can scale out and increase your list size...)

      do you answer individual emails?

      Yes.

      how do you personalize emails if you have a huge list of people emailing you?

      I keep them short. Just say hey. Thank them for writing. And I either promote something to them (if they're asking specific "how to" questions) or just be friendly if not. Reply as though they're your friend. It can simply be a, 'Hey, how's it going. I've got some cool stuff to share in the next email. Can't wait for you to see it...'

      how many emails do you answer in a day so that you build a relationship with your list?

      The autoresponder sequence is powerful. Answering emails isn't a big deal. You may get 5 a day. Sometimes more. Sometimes fewer. The autoresponder means they shouldn't have to ask too many questions, coz you cover it in your sequence.
