Would this kill the conversion rate?

Hello everybody,

I was asking myself if somebody who sells a WSO uses clickbank instead of paypal as payment processor, would this be a turnoff to people? Would this lower the conversion rate?

Thanks

You would definitely have a lower conversion rate. By using CB your making the payment process harder. Any extra effort will have an impact

How do you know this, so definitely?

Not only would you significantly be increasing the payment options (credit-card, PayPal, Euro-debit-card), but you'd also significantly be increasing the security of the money-back guarantee (which - in order to be ClickBank-compliant - would of course have to be 60-days, no-questions-asked, and always honored by a third party rightly famous for doing so).

My guess is that you'd increase the conversion-rate.

I'd certainly be happier to buy a WSO through ClickBank with a credit-card than directly from the vendor by PayPal: gone are all the potential "money-back" problems. I can't imagine I'm the only one.

I would assume the opposite. Not only do you get all the affiliates from ClickBank, but people can still pay through PayPal as well.

I believe it will have a neutral effect on your sales conversion, if not positive. Because this way your customers will have more options to pay, plus they dont need to sign-up to pay for the product (which I think is the case with paypal, not sure though). But still, putting up your product on Clickbank will never have a negative effect on your conversions.

    Test it!

But I think people in this market are familiar and comfortable with Clickbank. Psychologically, I feel products are more "real" or "trustworthy" if they are sold through Clickbank than Paypal....but that's just me.

How? By split-testing two identical WSO's both listed at the same time, both promoted the same way, both with identical sales copy, testimonials and conversations in their threads, one for sale by PayPal only and the other through ClickBank? Not so easy? But how else are you going to learn the answer to this question by "testing"? Not so easy to "test" things you can effectively do only once?

I have no idea...use a rotator? There's only one way to know for sure. Otherwise, it is mere speculation.

I think it would only have positive impact on conversion rates.. CB is a very reliable payment processor, offers a min. of 60 day money back guarantee, and the client can also pay through paypal as wel
Not to mention attracting more affiliates through CB..

In this case CB wins IMO

I think that you will not get a low conversion rate,
because you're dealing with ClickBank which is
    an authority site!

And they provide usually 60 days money back guaranty!

I think you would be OK with it.

Most people will find a WSO from the WF. Most people on the WF will know Clickbank.

I don't think it will turnoff anyone. If anything, people would be interested by it as you don't see it to often and it would be safer. It is only a few clicks with a money back guarantee.

The only downside I see is in not being exclusive. If you are selling through Clickbank
some people might think that they are not getting a Warrior SPECIAL Offer because it
looks like a public offer and not exclusively made for WF, even if this is not the case.
If you clear that statement up in your sales letter there is nothing else holding you
    back.

Myself I would like it more to buy a WSO that is using Clickbank.

One thing I have noticed a long time ago and it's right in front of your eyes right here in this very thread. Most of the posters in this thread have started off their answer with "I think"...

Never ever listen to people who start a sentence with "I think".. it's loosely based on their opinion and not experience or actual testing.

My advice is for you to do what Alexa mentioned about running a simple test. You can setup a simple A/B split test in Google Content Experiments within your Google Analytics account.

Login to Google Analytics, Click one of our website profiles, then click on Content, and finally experiments. Follow the instructions on that page. You are wanting to test your landing page (or whatever).

This is what Alexa said about "testing" -

I don't know what you are reading. Main point, "Not so easy to "test" things you can effectively do only once?"

Ya I don't really believe that uses clickbank as the payment processor would affect anything...

Especially on the Warrior Forum because we know more than the average person does about selling/buying information
