Hi folks,

I am setting up a Pinterest account and to verify my website I need to do what this says below. Can you please tell me how to locate this area? I went into the editor of my Freshlife theme but I am lost... as just new to WP.

Thank you very much,
Dr. Nicki

Add this meta tag to the <head> of your index.html file (or equivalent):
<meta name="p:domain_verify" content="66b8d4b1b99a880c7db25c45b06e3ffa" />

If you have ftp access via your webhosting, find the "INDEX.PHP" file in the "public_html" folder Nicole...

Open it up where it is, you will see a line that has <head> and </head> PUT the piece of code next to the LEFT of the </head> [easier to find if you need to delete it!] and save the file again.

Refresh your blog, then do what you need to do on Pinterest to verify your domain

Thank you. You know, I am not familiar w/ ftp. I am at Bluehost and there is an ftp section but I wouldn't know where to start.

Can I not do this directly through the WP editor?

      Thanks...

    1. Login to your WordPress
    2. Appearance >> Editor
    3. Then find header.php on the right hand ( you can press Ctrl + F to find that phrase on the prowser )
    4. Find </header> with the editor screeen ( you can press Ctrl + F to find that phrase on the prowser )
    5. Add your code just before </head> tag
    6. You are done!

      Thank you...

I don't know if this is strange but in the search for </header>, it says "phrase not found."

I do see the </head> tag. Would it make sense to insert it to the left of that?

The tag you are looking for is </head> not </header> So you are in the correct area.

It looks like you already found the <head></head> tags.

Could you keep us posted. I have "Interest" in "Pinterest" but do not have time to go figure it out. My golden Triangle of Google, Facebook and Youtube keeps working for me. However I keep hearing the buzz about "Pinterest".

When you figure "Pinterest" out and can find ways to get Leads, Build a List and/or Make cash with it... That would be very helpful for a lot of people.

        Have a great day!
