    I was wondering if there can be a link to a video within the kindle book for further instruction (ie linking to a page where you have an illustration of an exercise). Or is it actually possible to embed video within kindle?

    From Amazon Kindle Publishing Guide - section 6.1:

    6.1 Embedded Video
    To embed a video inside a Kindle book, add a standard HTML 5 tag such as the following:
    Example:
    <video id="video_1" src="movie.mp4" controls poster="start.jpg" title="Video about ...">
    <br/><br/><br/> "There is video content at this location that is not currently supported for your device. The caption for this content is displayed below." <br/><br/><br/>

    Also another thing to look at it is the newest version of Adobe PDF supports the embedding of video in a PDF document. You can create the equivalent of an online training course that includes video and just publish it as a PDF file. People read and when come to video they can watch it and not have to click on a link to watch it online as you had to do in the past.

        Whether it's possible is a far different question from whether it's advisable.

        Many Kindle devices cannot play a video. So some purchasers will not be able to see your video on their device.

        In addition, it's an open question whether your purchasers will be pleased. My feeling is that, if I wanted a video, I wouldn't have bought a BOOK.
