How to find where affiliates are posting?

I'm fairly new to the IM space, I would like to know what's an easy and possibly free way to find out where my competition is posting their ads/banners. Is their such a took or way of going about this?

If they post naked links, you might be able to do a simple search at Google to find them. You can also try the links: query.

WhatRunsWhere and Adbeat are two great tools for uncovering the information you are looking for.

You will be able to see the keywords and ads (text and banners) your competition is using and how long these ads have been running.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck

Is there a program that google has that shows you what sites they run ads on in your niche?

I would like to add mixrank (very good for uncovering adwords campaigns on content network).

Also, another great tool is alexa. All you have to do is take a look at the clickstream tab and you'll uncover some of the most important referring sites..

You can make a google alert for the affiliate product you're trying to promote and you'll no doubt found other opportunities in time.

  • Take a look at keywordspy.com as well. They have a 'Free Trial' that lasts a lifetime, you don't have to ever sign up for the paid service, although you obviously get a lot more detail with that.

You can also try www.ppcwebspy.com for google adwords competitors. They have a free firefox plugin with plenty of info on google ads.
