Ideas for future monetizing

I started a site a few weeks ago, and while I had the plan to create income via affiliate networks, I don't think it's going to work out. Check out my site here, It's a site surrounding an underexposed genre, with unique album reviews, news articles, and album streams.
A few recent developments that made me doubt affiliate income:
* Amazon / iTunes are geographically specified when it comes to mp3 downloads, which makes it hard to create 1 link for everyone.
* A lot of unknown but quality artists come to me, which gives me the opportunity to work together with them to create unique content. However, most of these artists sell their work (or have free downloads) at Bandcamp, which doesn't have an affiliate program.

Basically, I get a lot of positive feedback from people regarding the site, and traffic has been growing since I started it. However, I want to have a clear plan in mind when it comes to monetizing, since now it is still easy to adjust things to the site to fit those plans, rather than when the content is larger.

A few ideas I had were:
* Clickbank products for beatmaking software (not too sure about this).
* Adsense.
* Site merchandise (only when it is established).
* Premium content (interviews, mixes, podcasts).

As of now, I'm not fully convinced by any of these. I'm hoping the creative spirit of Warriorforum could send me in the right direction. Thanks. :-)

Future monetization? In my experience, it will be ALL ABOUT APPS. Mobile is exploding and people would want to make money with their mobile phones. No wonder there are some mobile app make money online programs out there. But we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Thanks for the tip, I already have creating an app in mind for the future, but I'm not sure about the monetizing aspects for my site, specifically. Sure, I could charge for the app, but I don't know if this is a right solution.

As for the affiliates, I had that in mind, but even if I do it, I will still be stuck with the second argument. It might be a good idea to implement this for the more popular reviews, though. But then I'm a bit worried about unity in my site, with half of the albums having a bandcamp link and half of them an Amazon link. But this is not a huge issue.

Not too familiar with iTunes Amazon affiliate links but what you can do is make a link to a script so www.yoursite.com/amazonlinkoutscript and tell it product 1 www.yoursite.com/amazonlinkoutscript?product=1 THEN on the script it will check IP for country and then have a giant switch basically if USA then forward to URL xyz if Canada forward to Canada URL, if Mexico forward to mexico URL etc

That is what I would do. If you don't know how to do this, just find a php programmer and basically copy what I said to him and he will know what to do. Not a very difficult project.

I think you should promote the site using UAW after getting the right keywords from Market Samurai or Traffic Travis.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but what is UAW?

Haha I wish I could, but I'm not going to compromise the quality of the site if it's not worth it, so I'm trying to see what is. :-)

I would honestly do site merch and get the artists to let you put up their merch. New artists won't have it so you can slap their logo up. Artists with it already just do an affiliate deal. There are many sites you can upload a logo, then you have a whole store of products that drop ship, so you are basically an affiliate sending traffic....
