Favorite Traffic Strategy?

Warriors, what is your favorite way to generate traffic to your squeeze page or site?

One technique I have used that not many people are using is e-zine advertising. There are many list owners who run e-zines in many different niches who will willingly allow you to advertise to their subscribers. This is usually by solo ads, classified ads, or ads between the content. Some list owners allow you to write original content for their list free of cost.

To find e-zines to advertise in, you can do a google query search for "your keyword" + newsletter or "your keyword" + e-zine. The best place I recommend going to advertise in e-zines is the directory of ezines at Directory of Ezines (not an affiliate link). There you can find different e-zines by niche and list size.

It can be very easy to make money quickly by e-zine advertising, but make sure to do your due diligence before booking an advertising spot. Check out the newsletter and see how many ads there are per content, how often the newsletter is sent out, how big the list size is, etc.

If you are looking to increase your traffic I would recommend looking into this strategy. What are some methods you are using?

I only have posted to one ezine site that is ezine articles. This is a great idea. I'd check out a list of other ezine sites out there.

Anyway, my favorite traffic strategies are social networking and blog posting. I'd take on-page seo strat on top than the off-page one.

Good tip. But, social media for me works really well especially if you have established that relationship with your online friends and followers. As long as you continue the engagement and activity, it will give you valuable traffic.

I get traffic because I have likely over 1,000,000 pages online created over many years. In combination with people on by forums and articles I wrote, I'm sure at least 100 new pages were created today. So my strategy is to create traffic by creating methods of producing quality content consistently.

I get about 100 visitors to my blog daily, so when I published my copywriting guide, I went back through my blog and added internal links to my sales page.

Why I like this: Your traffic has already been qualified, so conversions will be higher.

In short, create content with good SEO and funnel your site's visitors to your sales page.

I'd say a good 70% of Twitter consists of BOTS.

Why? Because I've tested it by funneling traffic from Twitter thru out proprietary setups to filter bot and proxy traffic out. Twitter has gotten better since some of the more public tools/bots have been shut down but still suffers from spam.

That said, if you can gain real followers by providing quality content, then you have real targeted people following you and the conversions can be quite good depending on the niche and how you present the offer.

Was about to ask this too. As far as what I understood from his initial post, it must be an accumulated number from all the sites he has created over the years. But, he probably does not do a single thing to majority of them right now. There must be a great deal of outsourcing happening in between.

Any source that doesn't rely more than 40% on Google .

    In all seriousness:

    Private media buys
Public media buys via known networks
    Solo ad blasts
PPC (not adwords but rather 2nd tier networks)
*just need to filter out the bot/proxy traffic so you don't pay for garbage
    Social PPC

    Regards,

My traffic strategy isn't really traffic acquisition - it's working to get the traffic already there to park for awhile. I always make sure there's interesting stuff for viewers who actually appreciate my niche to explore. The longer the traffic that you do get parks on the site when they land there, the more valuable the SEs take your site to be. They give you more visibility when people seem to like what they see when they get there and stick around for awhile. They are also more likely to come back later, too - and that's when traffic really turns to value.

My favorite ways to drive traffic is to use PPC, article marketing and add these articles on my own website, video marketing, and forum marketing.

These still work for me and I am going to use them as long as they work.

Depends where you are sending the traffic I would say...

JV's, and media buys are the most effective in my opinion, sometimes text links too depending on the site.

Free traffic I would say my favorite way is with video, mostly Youtube.

Not my biggest source of traffic but email traffic is my favorite... I like the building a relationship aspect of it which I think a lot of marketers don't really enjoy and some actually neglect completely!

Solo Ads and targeted Media Buys. Social media falls 3rd when it comes to blogging and articles etc, however - if you're trying to build a email list and make sales, Solo Ads works best because it's already targeted and your subscribers are already conditioned to take action and buy products and services.

If you are good at finding keywords and targeting your niche, PPC is still one of the best methods. You just have to know what you're doing and your website conversion. Some of my best traffic also comes from PPC through 7 Search where I can get clicks as low as $0.02 for certain keywords which convert pretty decent.

I guess I would say the one that brings me the most traffic in terms of favorite. But as far as which one I like doing the best, it would probably be forum marketing or blog commenting. It's very easy to get into your niche and not waste a lot of time in stuff that don't bring you results.
