Hubpages & Squidoo pages disappeared...

One of my partners hired a guy to start creating pages on hubpages & squidoo.

The hired guy reported him after a week says, he created pages on both the websites but its now disappeared.

I wonder how this could happen...!!

Is it true and this could happen to anyone !?

By "disappeared", do you mean the pages disappeared from search engines or they were deleted by squidoo and hubpages?

I'vе bееn fоllоwing thе Google Panda update ѕinсе January, whеn thе official Google blog mentioned upcoming algorithm tweaks whiсh thе blogosphere dubbed a "war оn content farms."

On Squidoo, mоѕt members wеrе unaware оf thе pre-Panda buzz, аnd еvеn thоѕе fоllоwing thе news mау nоt hаvе noticed thе troubling fact thаt ѕоmе commenters wеrе lumping Squidoo in with "content farms". I wаѕ pooh-poohed in SquidU's forums fоr sounding thе alarm.

Squidoo members whо аlѕо publish оn Hubpages -- whiсh iѕ a vеrу wiѕе practice, nоt keeping аll one's eggs in оnе basket -- hаvе reported major traffic drops оvеr there. Thе sites аrе nоt thаt different, ѕо whу did Panda treat thеm differently? Or did it?

еvеn if a Squidoo member whо wаѕ nоt hit bу thiѕ Google update, Google iѕ nоt finished with major сhаngеѕ thiѕ year, аnd wе hаd bеttеr bе rеаdу fоr thе nеxt one.

I will bе focusing оn Hubpages аnd Squidoo, but hореfullу ѕоmе оf thiѕ discussion will bе uѕеful fоr аnуоnе trуing tо figure оut whаt thе Google Panda update iѕ favoring оr penalizing.

Somehow Google is trying to say "Get lost" to organic search or SEO... because every G update is to degrade SEO or organic traffic on the name of quality and all that.....

Such as Google's first panda update was logical,, but later they just hit some queries to improve their paid business.... if you go more deep after first panda update every panda update focused on one thing and that is ""Unique Content"".....

        Anyhow

It could happen because of TOS Violations.... or he forget to publish and it might be in drafts...

Squidoo save posts as drafts until writer correct all mistakes....

I don't know about hub pages, but Ill tell you this, I built a squidoo lens, it stayed on 2nd page of google for almost 2 months, I woke up one day and it was on the first page #7 I was really excited, about an hour later I recieved an email from squidoo telling me that my site had been reported by other members for spam or something, even though I didnt spam anyone, and they took my lense down and told me you can dispute it if you like but we have never been wrong, so I did dispute it and never heard another word about it from Squidoo, it was just gone.

I made up my mind that I was done with Squidoo then, but I got a wso about a safe way to build and rank using Squidoo, so I figured well maybe I just did something I wasn't supposed too. So I built another one this time using the wso as a guide.
Same thing happened again, the very day I hit page 1 it was taken down. Very shortly after that I recieved an update from the guy that sold that wso telling how his top lense also was taken down.
So, I know you probably think Im full of it, but I would not use Squidoo if I were you unless you know something I don't.
In my opinion a blogger blog is just as easy to rank as squidoo and I have several of them and have never had one taken down. I don't know a whole lot about this IM stuff but I am starting to learn a little, I haved now moved from blogger to wordpress and hostgator but my blogger blogs still do good.
I would suggest using wordpress and hostgator, unless your just looking for a free platform then I would go with blogger.
        Hope this helps a little.

Not from the google, he says..the pages he created were deleted by squidoo & hubpages.

Is it wise to work with him again ?

That does happen, pretty often. As you can see from reading hundreds of theads in this forum. It happens more often to incautious people unfamiliar with the terms of service, policies and procedures of those sites, but it can happen to anyone.

I wouldn't. But I probably wouldn't have worked with him in the first place. I like to own and control my own websites as much as possible and not take all these entirely unnecessary risks with companies like Squidoo and HubPages who have nothing to offer my business that I can't equally easily get elsewhere with far more safety and security.

Squidoo and Hubpages are very mindful of affiliate links and overly promoted products on the web. If your lens or hub has disappeared or becomes unpublished it only meant one thing, their system flagged your lens or hub as something against their TOS and were conveniently taken down. :p

squidoo pages built to stay are a lot of work.

They need at least 1000 words, and you have to also look for additional media, images, video, and related products.

You need to make it interactive with polls or quizzes.

And there is of course the initial promotion in and out of the site to take it to green.

If someone charges less than a hundred bucks to do it, I would only use it as a starting point and work it from there.

probably he created too many pages using the same ip in a short time.

    this happens, and quite often.

I had the same problem with a few of my lenses. Once they would hit page one they would disappear. I am not putting any affiliate links either. odd.

It's just like hosting at Blogspot: it seems that on some level the people to whom these "manifold mysterious accidents" haven't personally happened yet simply don't believe that they do happen so very regularly. It's somehow as if all the hundreds of others here to whom they have happened, so regularly and repeatedly, are living in another dimension, or something. People either think "Well, those are all other people - not me, and they must all have done something wrong", or perhaps they think "Well, those are all other people - not me, and they must all be making it up", or maybe they just don't think about it at all? And then again, there are all the people to whom it has happened, who still continue to do it again and again! It's just bizarre.

Hey, don't knock living in another dimension...its quite possible...you just have to line out a few technical details first...
