Is it OK to submit the exact same article to multipe sites? Or is it better to rewrite the article before you submit it? For example, I have roughly 14 sites I started to submit articles to. If I submit they exact same, word-for-word article to all 14 sites will that have an effect on search engine ranking? Thanks for any input. Todd |

Yes it is ok to do that. However you should change up the titles and some of the paragraphs a bit and just submit them to the top directories. Quote:

don't waste too much time re-writing the articles, an odd sentence here or there maybe but there's nothing wrong with submitting the same article many times to many places

I submit the same Article to all the directories, but here is how I do it... I will submit to EZA and wait for it to get approved there. After it is approved at EZA, I will submit to the rest of the sites. Shannon |

| That's what I do, works for me very well. I have never changed an article in anyway, and they all have been approved, but the key as mentioned above is to submit to EZA first.

I don't think the issue is with the articles not getting approved, except for EZA submit there first and wait for approval, but with the duplicate articles getting flagged as dup content in Google and being sent to the supplementary index, purgatory. There is an ongoing debate as to whether submitting duplicate content will help you or harm you. Sheer numbers will get you visitors but if Google doesn't index your dup articles in the main index, will anyone see them? I know some people that get great results doing this, and others that get even better results making a change or two to the article for each directory. And, Google isn't the only search engine out there so do it if you want and see if you get good results. If so, keep it up, if not start making small changes. I personally don't worry too much about the dup content penalty but I do make a few small changes to the dup articles just to make me feel better. I change the title a bit, leaving in the main keywords of course, and add or change a sentence here and there, change a word or 3, and make a small alteration to the resource box. This seems to work pretty good. Google is evolving their dup content algorithms to be able to tell if you have just rearranged a paragraph or two or added a sentence or two so this may not be as effective in the future but for now it seems ok. I think the real question is time. How long does it take you to make changes to the articles, if it takes so long that you aren't submitting as many articles it may do you justice to just go for it and submit the same one to all of the major directories. |

yeah submit to eza first and then submit the same one to as many as you can. Some wont accept but most do. eza has a minimun of 250 words but other ask for 300 words. The important thing is the anchor text. Use the anchor text in the resource box to optimize your site for whatever "keyword" your using |

| IMHO most of "Good" sites copyscape your article these days as they don't want to get penalized by google.

Glad to know that we don't have to edit our articles to submit to other directories. I am actually thinking of using isnare paid publishing service after my articles are approved at ezine.

It is always better to re-write the articles before submitting them to other directories since google will see them as new content!
