Funky "Thanks" button behavior?

Over the last few days, I've noticed that the "Thanks" button is behaving oddly for me. Before I bother Thomas with a Help Desk ticket, I wanted to see if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

Most of the time, things behave as they should. I click the button, and my name appears in the thanks area.

Sometimes, I click the button and it disappears, but the 'thanks' never shows up below the post.

I haven't been able to discern a pattern, so I'm not sure if it's me or the forum.

Anybody else seeing this?

Maybe it's a browser issue? I notice that from time to time.

Yes, I sometimes see this, John.

I've never asked Thomas, but my reading of that situation is that you've just recently made your 20th "thanks" within the last 24 hours. When that happens, if you re-load the page, it should re-load without thanks buttons (confirming the theory?) but some time within the next hour, they'll re-appear on some page you load, and you'll be able to do at least one more "thanks" (because it works on a rolling, hour-to-hour basis?). Something very like that, anyway. I think it makes sense - and this is why I haven't asked Thomas!

I think I have ... it's when I'm just about "approaching/over my thanks limit" (i.e. you've been posting quite a bit, on those days, so I blame you, really!). :p

In short, if you've been noticing this just for the last few days, I'd suggest that you've been "thanking" more posts than usual, the last few days, and it's actually normal.

Maybe you're correct. I just hit the thanks for both of you, and only the last one shows up. And I have been thanking a lot of people lately.

Thanks to both of you. I'm glad I didn't bother Thomas with this...

You're very welcome John. I'm glad to give you something of value since I follow all your posts (you're one of the few worth following here) and I am never disappointed with the golden advice you give. I make it a point to apply them to my business when relevant. Thank you.

I only see it when I have exceeded my Thanks count for the day, while in the same thread where I am currently trying to Thank someone.

That fits my observations to a tee - thanks...

That fits just what I've observed - between that and the rolling count.
