Explain this to me...

I've seen the strategy for building lists where you offer a $7 WSO with 100% to affiliates to have them help you build your list of buyers. They get the $7 and you get a quality subscriber.

So my question is....

How do you get them to sign up for your list? Do they have to opt-in first at your squeeze page before they can purchase the item? Do sites like JVZOO track that so the affiliate gets the sale?

    The affiliate platform subscribes buyers to the autoresponder list chosen during the product set up process.

    You add your list name (and any additional info required by your AR of choice) then the system automatically sends the subscriber data at the time of purchase. It's seamless.

    The only question is if you want to use confirmed optin or single optin - but that's a whole 'nother thread (or hundred).

    So when they purchase the product they are added to the list automatically, so they have no choice but to sign up?

      Listen here, Sweetcheeks...

      The act of buying IS signing up.

      There's nothing evil about collecting your buyers into a list... it's what you SEND that list that matters.

      More to the point of your OP, the entire purpose of a 100% commission front-end is to build a buyers list.

      You can easily set that list to confirmed opt-in which will only subscribe those that click through the confirmation link on the initial email.

      Or... you can set the list to single optin which adds all the buyers to the list in the background.

      Many sellers do it that way.

      If you don't want to add them automatically, you can make them opt-in to get the bonuses etc.

    Ok, I think I'll have to poke around to get my mind around it, but pretty much how the site (JVZOO) is set up, if people buy the product you get their info to sell to them in the future, offer deals, free guides etc.

    I suppose they have the option to opt-out.
