Wordpress Error: Account suspended.

You probably pointed a link to a page they didn't like. They're very finnicky about monetizing your blogs in any way. Mine was once suspended because I posted a link to a site that linked to a clickbank product. Yeowch!

I think you can still log into your account to get at the articles and things you've posted, so you might want to just consider migrating your content over to another site like Blogger, where nobody cares what you link to.

Have you been advertising affiliate links on it?

If so then that is almost certainly the reason.

Get a self hosted WP blog......much safer

Wordpress is really harsh on affiliate marketing...

It's not a good platform to use, find something else and move on. The chances of you getting that account back are very limited.

I never recommend people use wordpress.com if they want to make money with their blogs. While the site is ranked highly (atleast it used to be) it isnt worth it, because you can only like to one affiliate product, and as with anything if they dont like that or any other link you have, you are toast.

If you want to get started and do a free blog that makes you money I would use blogger. It isnt the best, but it is free and you can monetize. On the other hand you might want to consider getting your own domain and building up some online real estate that is yours. You can even get hosting free if you look around carefully.

The result I'm still using wordpress.com is because of the wp-stat and wp-amaski plugin which require the wordpress.com API

Anyway having similar experience before and how do you handle it?

Host your own WP sites, stop giving control of your internet real estate to someone else.

Most hosting accounts come with Fantastico, which includes the ability to install WP with a single click.

Rosetrees is right. Your API key will work on self hosted blogs. Do not mess with WP hosted blogs they will shut you down in a heart beat, blacklist you domain name and your IP address. I used to use them to build backlink blogs, but the pleasure is not worth the pain.

I thought you hosted your Wordpress account already? Or is this another one of yours with the wordpress.com subdomain?

If your site is hosted on your own domain, then you only need your WP.com account for the API key. You're probably hosting a blog on the wordpress.com address and they took offense to that.

I simply reset my password and was then able to login.
