Help from US Warriors?

Hi, I was trying to buy something in an US online shop and they only accept "US issued credit cards" - even though a simple prepaid visa or mastercard that you guys can buy at every corner would do the trick, problem is, I'm in Australia and unfortunately I found no way to buy an US-issued prepaid card online anywhere.

So my question, does somebody know where I would be able to buy one with my perfectly fine Australian money ?

Or, if not possible, could somebody buy an US gift card in a shop and give me the number (I pay for it of course)? [and hopefully not use it for himself/herself just kidding, I have trust in people here not to do that]

Anyway, long story short, can somebody help?

Thanks in advance - you all have an outstanding day (night in the US, I know)!!

What are you trying to buy?
Ive never used a pre paid card to buy online, some stores will only ship
to the address associated with the card.
    Not sure though...

It's all digital delivery, so no need to have shipping, but apparently only US cards are accepted for some strange reason - they don't "trust" foreigners. I start to wonder if I should trust them, now that I think about it... At the end, they are foreigners to me.. Just kidding, I'm pretty trusting towards others, but it's still annoying to be classified as "second class" just because you live in beautiful Australia and not in the US...

You can't open a digital e-wallet... Some of them offer credit card numbers for access to the funds. Also, I'd say if their Merchant account doesn't accept payment from Australia for digital downloads then the company is grey area shady.

I don't think so. There are reasons to block countries like that. Say a company is getting lots of fraud from a country where minimal legit transactions come through, makes sense to block it. Or say the product isn't legal or imposes on another countries IP but only in certain countries. Or they don't want to deal with customer service outside american timezones so they only sell US.

There are many reasons why this would be the case.

Dustin, do you have examples of e-wallets that actually provide virtual card numbers that are "US sourced"? I have Entropay, but being a European company they are issued in Europe and apparently the whole world except the US is not accepted credit / prepaid card wise.. So if you have an US based service that provides virtual prepaid card numbers (like Paypal, but again, only Paypal-US offers them....), that would be of great help for "foreigners" like me.... Do you?

I had a quick look at neteller Dustin, they are not even having an office in the US, so I don't think their mastercard is an US mastercard either

If you guys in the US gift somebody a prepaid VISA bought in a shop, they can't use it if they are not US citizen? Seems weird to me, here in Australia you can buy prepaid VISA/mastercards and can gift them to people living overseas.. Wonder why the US is so strict about that, it just makes it hard for everybody else to buy in the US / from the US - am I missing something?..

Search for virtual credit card on Google and see if they can provide with one with a U.S address.

Another option is to contact the company and see if there is alternative for people from your continent, you never can tell.

it seems the most appropriate solution - if they can not facilitate a customer then it is not a legitimate business.

You should ask them or read their help if pre paid cards are even accepted. I personally work with a few merchant cc processing companies and 2/3 don't allow pre paid cards.

So before you go all out buying one, you may want to check that.
