What Strategy For BIGGER Money Goals?

What would you do online (IM, online biz) if its big bucks you're after.

Obviously, your goal shapes your strategies.

If you're just trying to play, maybe hope to make a few bucks, you'd probably see no problem opening up a few squidoo, free blogs, Facebook, etc. Maybe write an article or two, sell service at Fiverr.

But if you're somewhat more serious, you'd follow the advise to have your own site, content, domain, hosting, build a list. But you'd still be doing adsense, affiliate marketing, maybe. You've heard of selling to your list, promoting cpa offers, selling on Kindle and maybe you'd follow that.

And if you're goal is to make 4 maybe 5 figures a month, you'd probably plan on creating your own product, with backend offers, etc. Maybe niche marketing, maybe multiple infoproducts.

But what if your appetite is BIGGER. What if you're aim is to make $300k a year NET, maybe more. $1 million. What would be the methods for that? What would be the plan of action, strategies, and things to do to get there?

In my opinion, list building is the way to go. No matter what other side projects you have, you can always go back to your list for income. In fact you can use your side projects as content to mail your list.

It would be valuable content that builds trust and also allow you to promote your own or affiliate products.

While it is possible with ready made products, ebooks etc... I'd say of you wan't to scale up like that, you need some amount of income from appearances, speaking, a REAL book... Your going to have to bring your face out and actually act the part day-to-day. I know people making 5k-10k for sitting in an participating in Webinars to help close sales...

Just an idea to think about..

Stop thinking of it as IM or an online biz...and start thinking of it as a regular business.

How would you make money in any business? The techniques to grow a business are not necessarily different for IM...business is business at this point.

My advice is to get away from the IM niche to galvanize your perspective.

I strongly recommend reading Jack Canfield's the success principles. In this book, there are two themes...

        A) Focusing on a goal without wavering

        B) Reverse engineering what others have already done.

A friend of mine set out to own it in CPA and made close to $700K in just one year. No special tricks or tactics...he just hooked up with the big leaguers and gradually got them to reveal how they did it.

You could also check out the "Eat Your Face" interview at hardtofindseminars to see how you can inch towards $300K a year day by day.

Well in that case, it makes more of an e-commerce right? If I sell bidets locally, and I want to do that online, I'd have to go e-commerce.

I know people, and know of people, on this forum who make over $1 Million Dollars a year online. Most of them have done 1 of these 3 things. Many times it is all 3.

    1. Large number of virtual real estate sites. We are talking hundreds or even in the thousands of sites earning a little each month.

    2. Start your own program. Maybe it is an affiliate program. Maybe it is a membership site paying affiliates to sell the membership. Duplicate yourself and make sales without doing all of the work.

    3. Email marketing. There are people who are members of this forum with lists that number in the hundreds of thousands. Some have lists of over 1 million opt in subscribers in multiple niches.

All of this takes a lot of work. Not sure it can be done in 1 year unless you have a large advertising budget, and outsource a lot of the work.

Actually, your actions and what you promote that determines your results.

If you take 2 marketers (marketer 1 and marketer 2) and they pretty much do the same advertising online. They have the same passion and the same drive.

Marketer 1 focuses on regular paying affiliate programs that pay a one time commission and that is what he does for years. Then he wakes up one day and then wonders why he is still struggling.

On the other hand, you have marketer 2 who has focused from day one on programs that pay them residual income and from the efforts of others. He wakes up a few years later just like the marketer 1 and makes $100,000's per year from work he did just once. He earns residual money and from the efforts of others.

What did marketer number 1 did wrong that the 2nd marketer has done for years? He worked with crappy programs that paid him ONCE.
