This is How to Make Skype Contact Requests!
Skype is a great networking tool that I use extensively (after being introduced to it by a clever WSO seller that used it for support), but there are so many people trying to contact me with the WRONG approach!
Skype's standard contact text is "Hi XXXXXX XXXXX, I'd like to add you as a contact. [Username]
That's going to get you ignored or blocked every single time...trust me, I get several of these each day (skype mailing list?)
Skype allows you to edit that text, so why not tell the person WHY you want to be added to his contact list?
"Hi XXXXXXX, I saw your XXXXX and would like to talk with you about it on skype"
Skype is an awesome networking tool, but give people a reason to add you rather than ignore or block you!
And if you're trying to sell something, at least give your pitch!
If I can't pronounce your name, srtg.banergay265769, or worse yet, Urgent System Alert (wish I could block calls from your ass), chances are I won't accept your request...give me a reason.
